hey, for those of you who live in the chicago area i thought you might be interested in this. A portland band, Delaney, who are also close friends of mine are recording their first full length album in Chicago starting this weekend, but tomorrow they are going to be playing a show at Wise Fool's Pub. they are a great band and they always put a ton of energy into their shows, making them some of the most enjoyable i've been to. So if you have time you chicagoans should check 'em out. you can hear 'em at www.delaneyband.com or www.myspace.com/delaneyband

oh for sure, and that's practically my motto... she's just carried her hatred to some odd extremes

a very angry one. who for some reason harbors a vendetta against me.... our lack of a functional student/professor relationship caused me to drop my second major: film production.

i've been waiting for so long for this movie. and it'll probably not even come anywhere where i'll get to see it. i love david lynch. my film professor once said if someone ever gave me the resources to make films that i would end up another david lynch. she was not trying to compliment me, but i took it as such.

i'm a big fan. "murder me rachel" is one of my favorite songs. they are also one of the most passionate live shows i've ever seen. can't wait for their next album.

i would definitely vote for him. i also find him very inspiring. but i'd also still like to see howard dean as president at some point. i just hope obama can actually get elected

i've lived just outside of portland (forest grove) for five years now. i try to make it into the city as much as possible. and honestly i think it's one of the nicest cities in the country, and i've been to more than my fair share. the weather as of late has been pretty insane, but appreciated since i miss the snowy winters of alaska. i was over in seaside (close to canon beach) when it snowed there it was awesome, snow all over the beach. i'm having film developed and if any of them turn out i'll drop one or two in here. but portland is great for a lot of things, music, books, very accepting

i just saw this. what a freaking bummer. too bad his last film was Prarie Home Alone, the one he was supposedly working on next sounded more interesting it's a sad day for cinema
-
i enjoyed the first album quite a bit. like the new one, but think they need a few non-anthemic tracks to break it up. i think they put on an incredible live show. and i also think they think too highly of themselves, and because of that i think people are transfering that to their music more than they ought to
-
yeah, there are a couple versions actually (demos, etc)
-
can't wait to give it a listen. thanks again!!
-
awesome i look forward to it
