  1. I'm looking for a nice transcription of this one for the piano (chords will do really, my ear's just garbage) or guitar. Anything really-- I didn't see anything with a search, but I'm also a bit dim on that front too. Cheers!
  2. That's fantastic, and I say that not being facetious at all. Like I said, I'd really like them, and there's a chance I might warm up to them, I just don't really dig what I've seen so far. I'm sincerely glad though that a lot of people are satisfied. Now, if they had action poses... and smaller heads...
  3. 1) Act out scenes from IATTBYH with three of them and a Thing action figure in place of Jay. The Thing and Nels would have a guitar battle while Mikael and Pat carry out some sort of adventure that has bears little resemblance to the Goonies. 2) Bang them all together in a desperate reenactment of Battle Royale. 3) Put them all on the floor and allow my dog to choose which member he'd like to chew on, then immediately snatch it away from him and chastise him properly. 4) Put them in the freezer and re-enact "Alive" 5) Hide the Glen figure in a friend's bathroom cabinet for morning ter
  4. They could probably clog up a lawnmower pretty good. To be honest, if I liked the design better I'd probably buy them. The fact that you can't distinguish who's who though, and the fact that half of them look like a cross between a gangster and a Sasquatch make them less appealing to me. If it floats your boat though, congratulations.
  5. I like the last four (including KT) infinitely more than the first three.
  6. That's a great idea, I was considering selling the DS-1 but I'll give this a shot first.
  7. From what I gather you bash on it with a hunk of tailpipe and flick the bottom end. Seriously though, I had the fortune of trying out a nice new Fender at the store the other day, and I'm seriously considering one, I'm just worried about the learning curve being enough to frustrate me into not playing it.
  8. Did you guys know that Wilco just got a new guitar player? Niel Cline! Apparently he's into jazz and all this other kooky shit!!!!!!
  9. Anyone here familiar with Marshall Combo amps? I'm looking for something small (due to my lack of money) but I want that ridiculous fat Marshall crunch. I've got my old Tweed overdrive down pat, and it's time for me to embrace my inner So-Cal punk I buried back when I was 15. Suggestions anyone? Cheers!
  10. Thank you so much. I love Refused, and everything the guys have done after, be it lost patrol, Text, all of that stuff. Wonderful.
  11. I can't agree with you at all about killing the momentum on the album. I think it does a fantastic job of carrying on the themes/mood/feeling of the overall disc, and the relatively calmer, quieter nature of the song doesn't make it any less potent-- I think positioning it between Hate it Here and Walken was a perfect fit actually.
  12. It sounds like something that would be a bit difficult to replicate exactly the same way. I could just think that though because of how great it sounds on the record. I love when the bass comes in as soon as the lyrics start. It makes me really, really happy for reasons I can't explain.
  13. I'm pretty sure that he's said in an interview that guitar was a gift from his wife, which I imagine isn't the type of thing you sell.
  14. Jeff's an entertainer. I got ahold of Paul a couple days ago. I can't wait till this thing arrives.
  15. I'm rocking a voodoo labs Sparkle Drive-- original TS8 specs with a mixing mechanism-- blending the two makes from some really really great tones, lots of crunch without losing your guitar. Or, you just crank it completely and blow the doors off your house. Either way, I couldn't be happier with it.
  16. No one should ever take it easy with the windmilling.
  17. I tracked one down, but I'm waiting to see if Paul Crowther emails me back before I order it-- it's frustrating because it's only UPS delivery, so I'll have to get it delivered to work instead of home. I know there are other threads on this, but they're over a year old-- how do you like it? I've been getting weirder and weirder in my tastes, particularly when it comes to layering sounds and from what I've heard this box's got what I'm looking for.
