I had to promise that I'll never make him travel again to see Wilco cuz we did drive to Detroit (from Cleve) to see them open for Neil. Whatever. I'll bet if they ever play St Ignace MI or someplace that that he'd travel! Anyhoo -- so I booked a room at the OU Inn and Conv Center -- that looks pretty close to Campus. I've never been to OU, I've heard of the infamous Halloween Night. Where to eat? drink? Any assistance on that would be appreciated. Very liberal cancel poli

just my luck that wilco is coming to my school, Ohio University, when i will be gone for the quarter doing an internship. dang. If anyone is on the fence about going to the Athens, OH show, go go go. Great venue, great sound.

yeah i agree. this definitely has to be a song that's been worked on in the studio when they've said they've already recorded stuff. this is easily the most promising of the new ones we've heard.

Thanks for the info, and yes, I got a pass to the actual event. So, unfortunately, I won't get much time to explore the city- gotta make it a quick trip so I don't miss too many classes back at school. I figure if Obama wins, it'll be a big party. And if he loses, I'll get my first taste of conflict photography.

Nels guitar tone was sick on this song. I kept waiting for him to rip off a solo, but it never happened.

That's interesting. I wonder how often bands that go on there get multiple shots at songs.

Pretty sure it was one of the guys, because when the guitar part kicked in, the crowd starting cheering really loud as the credits were rolling. I've heard the theme song a lot and sounded like someone was playing something overtop it.

Wow, that was great. Anyone else catch that Nels was soloing over the theme music at the end? That was sweet.

I'll be there, coming from Athens, Ohio. I'm a photojournalism student, and our assignment that week is election coverage. I'm sure there'll be plenty of photos to make. Never been to Chicago before, really looking forward to it.

I was lucky enough to photograph the Obama rally in Chillicothe on Friday. Here are some photos from the event.

I would have loved to go see this, but Ben Folds was playing at my school's campus on the same night. I decided to walk to the venue to see Folds, instead of burning an hour and half worth of gas to go to this show.
