  1. Anyone have any idea what time they're set to actually play in Denton, and if there is an opener?
  2. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PO4LNUuoW5U Local H doing "Smothered in Hugs" (Guided by Voices) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3aBl3bnRv3g "Wolf Like Me" (TV On the Radio)
  3. Those two quotes are a looooooooooong way from what I would call a "personal attack."
  4. What blatant self promotion! Remove the post! Off with his head!
  5. I thought the idea and original post were great. I find it absurd it was removed. The intention couldn't have been more clear or innocent. There were no links, you weren't asking for any money and nothing was being sold.
  6. Also snagged pit in Houston. Probably going to get a pair for Cain's too but we'll see.
  7. It flat out wasn't showing up for me, but I kept refreshing and I got row Y on the main floor left center stage.
  8. Anyone else unable to find any tickets for the Denton show at UNT?
  9. I agree with you. And High Violet is my album of the year. But, I loved that Band of Horses disc. I really don't think it being nominated is a travesty or anything.
  10. Local H - Here Comes the Zoo Wilco - YHF My Morning Jacket - It Still Moves Stones - Sticky Fingers Beck - Sea Change
  11. Local H. I won't say I like them more, but I like them just as much, for entirely different reasons.
  12. I was there for that! Pretty high up there for me too. As for my favorite, gotta go with Local H at Emo's in Austin.
  13. Caught my 18th Local H gig tonight. Saw them in OKC, Austin and Dallas over the weekend. Stellar as usual. Still the best two man gig currently working in rock for my dollar. Great times all round. High energy shows as usual with great sets that don't ignore any part of their career. They have several IL dates coming up, check em out if you're close. Really solid openers, Kinch. Worth Googling. They had the wall followers and stragglers up front and center by the time they were done. Really impressed.
  14. Discussion about this going on in the other thread already if interested.
  15. I didn't notice any sound problem, but maybe I just don't have an ear for that sort of thing. I was from out of town too (DFW) but it was really pretty much a straight shot down 35 for me. I liked the parking, lot was new, and quick to get out. I don't think I waited more than 5 minutes. All concessions prices were pretty out there, but I don't drink, so it didn't really bother me like it did some others.
  16. Probably my overall second favorite. I think I liked Palladium 2007 hair better. Probably due to company, the fact that we were closer, and getting to hear On and On and On were nice perks for me personally. Loved hearing Kamera/Cars Can't Escape though. I dunno, coin flip.
  17. I'm not sure why so many hated the venue. I thought it was easy to get in and out of and sounded just fine. What was the big deal, beyond the beer prices anyway.
  18. To be honest I don't really care what Jeff Tweedy is or is not tired of. I'm tired of ITMWLY, but I expect it when I go to a show, just like he should expect some criticism in a forum dedicated to talking about each show. People around here throw just as much high praise his way as criticism. The purpose of this subforum is to discuss the shows and the sets, and I would find it pretty boring if no one ever said anything but OH MAN BEST SHOW/SET EVER HIGH FIVE. You said the same setlist only matters if you see every show. The point stands that if you see two back to back, and they have the
  19. Actually it matters if you see more than one.
