  1. I've been thinking a lot about black beans lately. I'm definitely going to try deepseacatfish's recipe! Dinner tonight was Tabouli salad and tuna. Lunch was spinach, eggs, and a cheese mix in a flour tortilla. Breakfast was a fruit bar. My new favorite thing for which I am all hot and bothered over (and a little smelly too) is Fantastic Foods' Instant Refried Beans which is sold by the pound at my local natural foods store. That stuff is awesoooooome.
  2. Not weird at all. The physical violence is pointless while the surgery is the means to a (hopefully) positive end.
  3. Also true, I watched all but the last episode. There are very few things I do in life that I feel ashamed of and this is one of them. It just happened to always be on at that point in the evening where I'm too beat to do anything but channel surf and too awake to hit the bed. There were some rather skeezy chicks on that show.
  4. That's cuh-razy! Did she dish on the details...morbid curiosity has me wondering how well that worked out for her? I'm afraid I'm engaging in thread hijacking here. Never mind, I guess I should probably keep a little mystery in my life and let Bret's skills or lack thereof remain unknown. He's pretty ridiculous.
  5. She did him at Toad Suck Daze?! That would be the awesomest story to share with the Grandkids.
  6. Toad Suck Daze in Conway! (They had Bret Michaels last year!) I bet we could go on like this for pages and pages. There are an awful lot of weird events out there!
  7. Or maybe next October, they can swing through Mountain View for the 26th Annual Arkansas BeanFest & Championship Outhouse Races!
  8. Me too. The attacker was "threatened." Gosh, what choice did she have but to retaliate to a perceived threat by resorting to physical violence? Hmmmm...why does this preemptive attack thing sound familiar? Hmmmmmm.
  9. There was way more exciting stuff in that little piece than I expected! Here's my hopes raising for "new places" being places within my reach!

    Glen drumkit

Very rad!!! He is listed as an "endorser" on the Sonor site.
  11. But can any of the above mentioned folks move in Lycra like this? Hmmmmmm?

It looks like it's put together from Sonor's "designer" series, "X-Ray" line. Here is some stuff: http://www.drumpower.com.au/store/product.php?productid=514 http://www.harmony-central.com/articles/mo.../0603_sonor.htm

Glenn has been using this clear kit recently, not sure if it's replacing the green kit: (ksmoke's flickr photo)
  14. "Air Crash Museum" & "The Thing That Only Eats Hippies" are very special songs. side note: Joe Jack was doing a show w/in driving distance of me recently but I didn't realize it until the day of. Grrrrr!
  15. I'm all about getting the real deal with the packaging/art/notes. Wilco could re-release all of the albums every six months and I'd buy them over and over again until I ran out of dough because I'm so madly in love with the band. Besides the whole love thing, I can use all of the copies I can get because I'm always misplacing the discs!
  16. It sucks to have to buy the cd or it sucks that people are so unwilling to dish out dough for the cd that Wilco maybe had to resort to offering a package deal to get paid?
  17. So, we're safe if we are only working with music released by non-RIAA members, right?
  18. I stumbled upon it on IFC a while back. I was shocked at how sucked in I became. I'd say I laughed at least three times per minute while watching. It's hilarious. R. Kelly is cuh-razy.
  19. Apparently, I steal a lot of nu-metal from seventeen year old boys in Dodge Ram pickups. They can have it back!
