  1. What?! You don't pay $500 for your pillows?! I won't buy a pillow unless it costs at least $350!
  2. Maybe you can purchase yourself a late house-warming gift and get a Nudie created pillow in the Gram Parsons style: The back of the pillow: Only $500!
  3. I don't even need to eat breakfast now. Jeff in a Nudie suit...I am nourished for the day. Do you think it is authentic Nudie or just a salute to Nudie? This is so neato!
  4. Boomerang Network has Looney Tunes and all the Hanna Barbara stuff (which kicks Warner Bros. 'toon ass). Commercial free!
  5. We have the special little icons up at the top center. The egg is my Wilco folder!
  6. cheesegasm!!!!!1!1!!!11
  7. Hooray! Now that's the kind of stuff I like to read about!
  8. This thread is making me feel less bad about not making it to KC. Lot of negative vibes going 'round.
  9. with everything! If not everything, many things. Examples: Pineapple black bean enchiladas- Lovely ham- What kabob is ka-complete without it? and of course, man's greatest invention-
  10. Sam Jones says he shot it as it happened and didn't edit it out of sequence. I believe him when he says it wasn't cut together to make it look like something it wasn't.
  11. That's madness. Pineapple is good on everything!
  12. Dane Cook is incredibly good looking. I thought he was really funny and attractive back in the day on his Comedy Central special. I like his manic energy. He's made me laugh in the past but I'm pretty sure he hasn't bothered to come up with any new routines since he started gaining in popularity and getting movie roles. I guess it's just easier for him to "act" and play what others have written then to write something new for himself and that's pretty lame.
  13. Awesome! Looking forward to hearing it!
  14. I'm dying over the fact that Andrew Bird is opening for Wilco and I'm missing it. Andrew Bird. Andrew Bird. Andrew friggin' Bird.
  15. For me at least, that's where outsider art holds interest. The paintings, sculptures etc. provide a means of communication for people normally outside of conventional society. They give us "not so outside" folks a peek into the lives and minds of people who might otherwise remain inaccessible due to their mental illness or disability, criminal inclination, radical spirituality, or some other unconventional trait. It's fascinating what these individuals, who have no formal training and often aren't even aware of "artist" as something they can aspire to be, go ahead and create (sometime entire w

I saw something about these being Sonor's first acrylic offerings in twenty years so I guess they stopped doing them in the eighties and then started up again recently. I can't find the ebay set. Somebody snagged it already?
  17. I agree. I don't avoid his music because he comes across like (whether he is or is not) a douche in the movie. I avoid it because I don't dig his voice. He's clearly a fine musician but just not my cuppa tea.
  18. For the sneaker freaks, 33 ways to lace your kicks!
  19. The Smiths- Meat is Murder & The Cure- Standing on a Beach Helped me through my very awkward teenage years. Wilco- A Ghost is Born Was like some loyal friend I could visit every night, a shoulder to cry on, while grieving after my brother's death last year. Al Green- I'm Still in Love With You A glue that keeps my relationship together. It's hard to argue with my lovey if "Love and Happiness" is in my head, I just want to dance him 'round the room. So if my other half gets on my nerves I set the little record player in my head to Al Green mode and all is well. Sonic Youth- Screaming
  20. These meet all kinds of standards: "Kosher, Vegan, Wheat Free, Low Sodium, No Sat. Fat, Made With Soy" There are canned organic vegetarian beans but this bulk stuff is cheaper and I find them easier because you just put it in a bowl and dump boiling water on it, cover, and let sit. A pan of beans on the stove top is somehow messier for me and has to be watched. Besides all that, these dry instant ones are mighty tasty with the seasoning they have in them.
  21. I recently picked up Colin Rhodes' "Outsider Art: Spontaneous Alternatives" and have enjoyed reading snippets here and there when I've got a few minutes to spare. Totally recommend it to those interested in outsider art...it covers a lot of interesting ground. Also, I've been meaning to watch the Henry Darger doc for a very long time now and it's just now made it to the top of my Netflix Queue so I'm really looking forward to that.
