  1. let's see if i can get this attachment feature in the forum to work, , yikes technology. here's my attempt. druber's is quite fun as well. let me know if there's anything else i can do to give it more pizazz or make it more fun. i tend to be way too serious about stuff (including art and design).
  2. I was in DC about a month ago and the friends I stayed with bought several pints of Americone Dream to share. It was fantabulous! The best Ben and Jerry's flavor yet. Of course, in Nashvile, you can only seem to get it at the Ben and Jerry's store and not the grocery stores (Kroger being one, which here has bad produce as well, at least they are consistent). The cinnamon bun is quite yummy. I'd rank it 3rd after Colbert and Half-baked. Would love to try the Black and Tan, but can't find it anywhere. I agree with whoever posted that Ben and Jerry's tends to be too over the top, too many in
  3. http://wilcoworld.net/tours/index.php at the very bottom, in the "fine" print, they have a laundry list of information about ticket sales, tour updates, etc. there is a note in there about their inability to contact folks every time there's a new announcement and encourage folks to subscribe to the RSS feed (which notes updates to the site).
  4. general admission floor, quite exciting!
  5. when i bought for the charlotte and atlanta presales they required a login and password.
  6. i was going to ask the same thing. and why is jeff in stripes? these are weird. but in a you can't help but look kind of way.
  7. just got back from a trip and haven't had a chance to take a listen, can't wait to relive the show all over again. i started on a cover (for myself) before my travels and can share with others if folks are interested. i didn't use the facial gymmastics picture though. not sure the best way to get it out there if folks want it, though.
  8. i saw Bob Dylan there several years ago, my seats might as well have been on the lawn. it's an ok venue, definitely not the 9:30club, now that's a good venue! i'm doing my best to move back to DC, but if i'm not living there by then, driving from the charlotte show to the "DC" (yes it technically is in MD) show and back again is an option. roadtrip!
  9. June 21 @ Merriweather Post Pavillion. wonder when tickets are going on sale for this one!
  10. what seats? my friend and i are in 8th row seats 7 and 8.
  11. anyone going to charlotte or atlanta? managed to get orchc row R for charlotte and Pit row 8 for atlanta. had to get a friend to get atlanta tickets for me while i was getting the charlotte ones. phew, i agree with whoever asked why these things are so nervewracking, especially when you're login doesn't work the first two times. yikes! can't wait for the shows.
  12. so so sad. i live in nashville and was flipping through the radio stations on the way home from work when one of them interupted everything to say that the house had just caught fire and no one was sure just how bad the damage was. guess i should watch the local news tonight, i'm sure they'll cover it. very tragic. then again, maybe it was fate that it was truly meant to be johnny cash's house and no other.
  13. sarcastic comments are always the best and keep us on our toes. let's pull some stuff together via PMs and go from there. i'd rather work on wilco FAQs than work work that I'm supposed to be doing.
  14. is it easy enough to get one started? i'd be happy to help out with that.
  15. does anyone have or know if there are being there or a ghost is born demos out there floating around?
  16. a bit random, before the show started i was talking to one of the security guys. he was really nice, had never heard of jeff or wilco and commented on what a nice thing it was to have a charity show, etc. at some point in the conversation he found out i had flown in from out of town to go to the show and how many wilco/jeff concerts i'd been to. i think he thought i was a bit crazy, over the top, unusual. at the bathroom break, the security guy came up to me with a huge smile and said "i understand why you flew into town for this, definitely well worth it! what a great show!"
  17. i was waiting for Analogman to do this and post the google link for me . i was amazed at the number of restaurants in such a small radius. gawd i miss living in a big city (have i mentioned that before). i wish chicago wasn't so damn cold or i consider moving to those parts! thanks again for all the recommendations, i am sorry to say we did not go to applebees, as tempting as that was. but did enjoy giordianos (sp). thanks again! what a fun night!
  18. Having been one of those "die hard" fans in line early, I didn't get the impression from those around me as we were talking to Sue and requesting songs that folks were trying to be cool by requesting obscure songs. maybe some did, but it didn't seem to be that way. people were looking at the list and asking "oooh is such and such on there" "what about..." and there was great joy and excitment as we came up with the different songs. i can't speak for everyone in line, but for me, you're standing there talking to jeff's wife and you've essentially been asked, if you could have jeff play one song
  19. i woke up this morning with the community song in my head (no kidding). what a great show! jeff was in top form. "what light" was my request! very cool of Sue to come out and take requests from us!
  20. brrrrrr. i'm trying to prepare myself for the chill! is it just me or is it wrong that it's going to be colder in April than it was in November? it will be worth it. see folks in line, i'll be the one bundled up in excess. and i too hope someone will be recording. my friend in Huntsville is quite bummed she couldn't make the trip up with me.
