  1. were down front and center? i think you were right behind me during the show!
  2. i am SO glad i'm not the only one that was thinking this! it's so frustrating to be at a concert and have folks around you being obnoxious and rude. it changes the whole experience! or maybe i am just getting old.
  3. am now getting caught up on everyone's reviews of the show (am finally home and not quite recovered from going from atlanta to charlotte to merriweather, but wow!). after the charlotte show, myself and my friend waited by the buses and got to talk to everyone in the band. Nels was great. his take on the rain and this show was really great to hear. he said they couldn't actually see the rain from the stage unless a camera flash went off, but they could hear it and couldn't believe how hard it was coming down. he said there was a mist that kept coming up off the stage and everything was pretty
  4. what a great show! i am absolutely exhausted (from going from the atlanta show to charlotte and ending at the merriweather show). it was great! we were down front and center and were completely blown away! the transition from poor places to kidsmoke, i was surprised that the crowd peetered out on the hand clapping. and then what light at the end. after i sleep for the next few days, i think i'll be able to process it all and truly enjoy what an incredible experience this week has been.
  5. ooooh, you're so lucky! wish i was sitting where you were! we had the most obnoxious girl behind us, came in late, kept asking everyone what songs she missed, why wouldn't we tell her, and then just kept talking as loud as she could to hear herself. we all politely asked her to stop on several occasions and she decided during sky blue sky she could try to start a fight about it. so amazing how helpful event staff can be, we didn't have any problems after that and were able to really enjoy the show. it was great! lots of fun and good commentary from Jeff. what was that OWL!!!! so funny. grea
  6. am jealous, soundcheck and backstage! congrats!
  7. this made me smile...only 5 times, didn't expect a 5 after the word only, that was great! i agree, definitely one of my favorites as well. that was #4 for me (unless you count jeff solo shows), although by the end of this week i'll have doubled my wilco concert count.
  8. what a great show.!! am absolutely soaked! there had to be at least a gallon of water in my jacket afterwards. i thought it was great that they played the sky blue sky songs in the order of the album. a different approach. they looked like they were having so much fun up there! and we were all having as much fun in the downpoar. was that jeff's guitar pick he stuck to his forehead during hummingbird?? charlotte is going to be so different, idoors, dry...
  9. I like accuweather.com, they have a good take on the weather for tonight: 7pm thunderstorms 9pm cloudy 11pm cloudy 1am thunderstorms http://www.accuweather.com/us/ga/atlanta/3...&traveler=1
  10. keep trying, i took my mom to see them in chicago a while back, then Jeff solo and she now LOVEs them, went out and bought the new album and is now talking about others. if anything it will make for great stories later on in life!
  11. it wasn't just you. and yeah, there's a speakers speaking in code section??? who knew. in all serious, it looks and works great, this facelift!
  12. not what i was expecting when i clicked on this one. so, no one wants to talk about rising signs and ruling planets here huh. didn't actually see the movie, i'm a wimp to such things, but it did look interesting. might netflix it.
  13. thank goodness! what were you thinking???
  14. I hope it doesn't rain. If it does, it will add to the ambience. I just arrived in Atlanta after going through travel HELL!!! never fly US Airways, oh wait, don't worry they will cancel your flight if you do. *heavy sigh* with a screaming baby infront of me and rowdy fraternity/sorority kids around me on an overbooked reassigned flight, I managed to drown out the noise with some wilco and am READY for the show tomorrow! can't wait! wilco's well worth any travel hell one can endure, just don't rain too much tomorrow.
  15. oh, this makes me sad. i loved watching mr. wizard! he was great. Farewell!
  16. myself and a friend will be at Merriweather! it's gonna be crazy though because we're heading back from charlotte that day as well, then there's rush hour. because of that, we're not planning any pre-show ventures, but will be down in the general admission pit, anyone else gonna be in the pit with us?
  17. I have a monotone of Aerosmith's "Dream On" but am going to switch when I get a new phone in 2 weeks. I used to have the Carpenters "We've Only Just Begun" am looking forward to searching out something new and fun!
  18. of course! you know secretly you love it and your life is complete now that you know the latest about them!
  19. just double-checked my tix and am only a couple seats down from you, 8th row seats 7 and 8.
  20. my tattoo advice: figure out what you want, wait at least 6 months to a year and after that time if you still want it, go for it. my 2nd tattoo advice: go to Dave Waugh at Jinx Proof in Washington DC. he did an amzaing job on the tattoo i have on my back and has a great "tattoo side" manner. [i have no wilco tattoos]
  21. i use safari and it rarely crashes. what annoys me about it is when you get to an online form to fill out and it doesn't work in safari, but works in a different browser. uggh.
  22. I was raised by a set of those idiot parents. I wouldn't call them idiots exactly, but yeah, I have several not-so-fond memories of being dragged into a theater to see a scary movie at a very very young age. I saw Alien, Friday the 13th, and Halloween all in the theater and remember hiding in the backrow while my dad got popcorn because I knew it was a scary movie. Oh yeah, and poltergeist when I was the same age as the little girl (and looked similar to her). I think they drew the line at the Exorcist, but that was probably because it scared them. I can't watch scary movies now without bein
  23. I've lost track of where I'm sitting at each show, but will be at this one as well!!! :dancing
  24. i found that everything behaves and works properly when you take it into the mac store and stops working when you get it home. it sounds like there might be a bad cable somewhere if the laptop's wireless works outside of your house. you might want to try pulling everything off the router and focusing on the laptop. do a direct connect from the cable modem to the laptop, see if it works. if it does, then connect to your router. if it doesn't work, maybe try going into the system settings and having the machine reconfigure itself for the network. if that doesn't work, try connecting your deskt
