happy to hear you are making progress and feeling good about how you are tackling it all rags! there's been some very interesting discussion in this topic that i have found enlightening and comforting. everyone has opinions and it's kinda nice to see folks talk out different sides of their point of view. especially with something so taboo as mental illness. i wonder sometimes if the rate of depression is higher now isn't merely a sign that more and more people are ok with seeking help for their problems. then again, i also wonder if the rate of depression isn't linked to all of the chemical

oh please no Joaquin. i really hated him as Johnny Cash, we wasn't tall enough, didn't look like him, they could have at least used a bit of make-up effects to help with those two issues, maybe i should hate the producers of walk the line instead. he did sound like Johnny though.

There's some really great thoughts and insight in this thread. My opinion is that I 4th what Leo said. Most certainly talk to the doctor before stopping the meds, you'll probably need to ease off of them. However, I also think what is most important is that the treatment you receive (be it medication, therapy, meditation, etc) is what you feel most comfortable with. That will provide you with the fastest path to healing. I'd also recommend not only seeking treatment, but also seeking clear a definition for what is causing the anxiety. is there another underlying medical condition that needs

if there's a general admission pit, the whole scrum of people down front and center with no seats around, do that most definitely and get there when the doors open you can actually be down front and center. it is an experience like no other. of course, if you are small and slender there will always be someone larger and unaware of their surroundings right on top of you, but still worth the experience.

anyone else annoyed that he is going to get a mere 12-18 months of jail time based on his plea agreement. i guess one can only hope the state goes after him and there's a more severe punishment than what the feds worked up.

I worry that the fish I just got is going to die at any moment or at the very least is miserable in his little bowl. and that the plant i just got to purify his water is going to die as well. I worry that my house in TN will never sell and that there will be some dire financial consequence that I didn't forsee when I moved. I worry that my soon to be old bank is going to find yet another way to mess up my finances with another one of their "banking errors" that they refuse to fix until two days later causing even more "banking errors". I worry that Bush/Cheney will find a way to stay in

i too waited until i had time to read through the whole thread before adding my stories. that's been some good reading! here goes: my favorite, when i was 7, my family was on a flight from germany to NY and Gordon from Sesame Street was sitting diagonally behind me. that was amazing for a 7 year old. i met henry winkler that same year. adulthood...i worked at NASA HQ in the design office, we made all the awards for the agency and one day Tom Cruise's name pops up on an award. inside sources told us he was coming by that afternoon. there's only one way in and out of the building. myself and

i'd recommend Jane Goodall's latest book, i think it is called natural harvest. very interesting perspective and goes beyond the factory farm. she discusses water, bottled water, and ice relative to waste and resources. it really makes you think.

yes, it was a great book, although i hated the ending, well from the point when dorothy landed in oz and elphalba (is that how you spell her name) reacted/how he changed the ending of the dorothy story from the original oz story. i thought it was rather uncharacteristic of that character. but still loved it. i keep reminding myself to read son of a witch, but seem to forget everytime i am at a book store.

ummm, i think the title of this thread might be appropriate: how old are we here. ?? joking, don't want to fuel the fire (and maybe it's lost in internet translation).

she was great! "what a world, what a world" now that's a great movie line. i always wondered why dorothy didn't just give her the shoes. i mean dorothy did after all kill the witch's sister and take her shoes.
