Predictions for Wilco's Tonight Show appearance?
isadorah replied to unposed_question's topic in Just A Fan
i completely agree!!!! i was half-awake when they were on, so didn't get to really focus. and i agree with whoever said being in the building with jay leno for more than 1 minute will make anyone board. what kind of comedian has to explain all his jokes after he tells them. BORING! -
ok, here's mine, but i just can't compete with the kids. not cute enough!
-
"it's all over now, baby blue" bob dylan (the 1966 royal Albert hall concert version) i also find the entire time out of mind album to be quite depressing. someday i'm going to put a mix together "bob dylan's most depressing tunes."
-
oh wait, i shouldn't encourage competition, now the odds are stacked against me between your photo and lynn's! just kidding!
-
i've only heard it by Jeff solo, now that you mention it, would love to hear the full band do that one live. it is one of my favorites!
-
maybe they fixed it? i just emailed my photos and no kick-back or anything. could your file size have been too big? or they fixed it, or i'll get my rejection notice in a moment.
-
maybe i should try the xanax, my mom always hounds me about my dog being too skinny.

Pantone 186 running through my veins! (ok he says 187, but company color here in these parts is 186, it's a red).

i'd avoided this thread because i was bummed i couldn't go. well! that all changed today! ROW M. i'm flying in at 5pm, damn work getting in the way of the wilco. fingers crossed there are no flight troubles. my luck held out for the Vic show, can it last through this one. if my plane lands in time, and there are pre-show festivities, do tell, i'd love to join and meet some more VCers. song request: The Thanks I Get and or Forget the Flowers! i can't wait!

"Well personally, my friends and I, we know exactly where the United States is on our map. I don't know anyone else who doesn't. And if the statistics are correct, I believe there should be more emphasis on geography." although it still wasn't much of a sentence. this makes pageant girls look bad. it goes beyond the geography lesson, it almost panders to that whole isolationist dumb american stereo type why the world hates us sorta thing. oh wait, did that start to sound like how she answered the question.?.
-
i think one of them was standing on the stage "answering" the question.

Senator gets probation for an Astaire
isadorah replied to Duck-Billed Catechist's topic in Tongue-Tied Lightning
i like his defense, "i had plead guilty because i thought i could take care of this myself, i should have gotten help in handling the matter." uh huh. -
Alberto just put the "gone" back in Gonzales.

is it just me or does bush always have a "major speech" scheduled the day after someone announces their resignation. the speech has nothing to do with the topic surrounding the resignation and is as far away from the topic as possible. must be his own strategery. -
i don't think you'll see that every year, it was a ceremony in honor of Althea Gibson. she was unducted into the US Court of Champions (wonder if that's the hall of fame for tennis) so all the pomp and circumstance was around that.

i guess i'm nervous right now because i had a cat that went on anti-depressants and that made it worse rather than better, she would froth and spit when she knew it was time for her meds and got even more nervous about everything, not using her litter box. to the point that i had to give up on the meds and she is now living on a farm (and hopefully doing ok). this has all been recent, so maybe once the emotion of the cat situation calms down i'll be more open to try the meds on the dog. ninjas did have a good point.

she's a border collie mix, a rescue. i've had her for almost 2 years and she has never been ok with the nail trim, no matter what's been tried. i'm not sure what her background was except she had been neglected for the first 3 months of her life, so who know why she doesn't like the nail trim. i doubt i'll try the xanax trick. something seems very wrong about it.

anyone else watching the US Open this year. the Serena vs Kerber match has just gotten very interesting. ---- and someone please tell me why serena always wears some outfit that interferes with her tennis playing, granted it is cute, but the bow keeps getting in her way.
-
took my dog to the vet today for her yearly check-up. mentioned to the vet that she freaks out when you try to trim her nails. the vet prescribed xanax for it, "to take the edge off." on my way home i thought, huh, was that prescription for me or the dog? anyone want some xanax?
