  1. No way bro. am is way too good. I used to be an am "basher"--how foolish. am is nothing but an outstanding collection of rockn alt country songs. Blue eyed soul is such a good song.
  2. Wow, i freaking love this band. How good are these guys. The bonus tracks "the thanks I get" and "lets not get carried away" are unreal--it really makes me wonder what else this band has up their sleeve??? The thanks i get would be a great single, while lngca is straight up guitar rock at its finest. I do agree that they would have sounded a little out of place on sky blue sky, especially lngca. So if you havnt heard these bonus tracks do yourself a favor and check them out now. make yourself proud to be a fan of the best band...ever.
  3. Thanks much...exactly what i was looking for. what a great tune huh!!!
  4. Where can i find this song. Is it not a bonus track off of Sky Blue Sky. Any help is appreciated.
  5. short and sweet http://www.squidoo.com/wilco_skybluesky/
  6. A.M. B+ Being There B Summer Teeth B+ Yankee Hotel Foxtrot A A Ghost is Born A+ Kicking Television A- Sky Blue Sky A- All incredible albums from an incredible bands. Each one has been my favorite for a time. For me the peak is undoubtebly AGIB--every song is incredible. I have recently really gotten into am and being there oh and sky blue sky is legit.
  7. "Weirder and better", I agree
  8. I became hooked whilst listening to AGIB, and YHF. I now love SBS. However, i still really like ST--and BT a little less than that. I havnt really taken the time to appreciate A.M. yet, im sure its amazing.
  9. This is one of my favorites from sbs for sure. It was one of the initial songs that i just couldnt stop listening to after hearing sbs in its entirety. Great riffing guitar and organ all around. Amazing song. A little different, but i really dig it--just like the restl of sbs.
  10. Shake It Off is ridiculously good. I cant get it out of my head. That distorted piano riff or whatever it is is incredible.
  11. What do u all think this song is about?
  12. What wilco has done in their careers truly amazes me. They are making extremely quality music in an era that is clearly lacking in musical quality. This lack in musical quality for the most part equals big bucks, at least from what i can see. Wilco cares about the music--that goes without saying. Another band that i think is similar to wilco is Built to Spill. An amazing band if u like guitar rock. They dont make much money. They made their way into the music scene the hard way. Their tunes share some similar pop aspects that wilco songs do. They are my two favorite bands.
  13. I dont know about that. The ending of IG when Nels goes crazy is the best part. Just my opinion though. He is really playing some crazy licks that contrast with the main solo perfectly.
  14. Where is Doug Martsch of Built To Spill. Few artists can craft guitar based songs like Doug does. His work on Perfect From Now On is all the evidence one needs. I am glad to see Nels though, and some moe.
  15. Guitman At first I thought your critique was quite ridiculous and was something that i truly disagree with--you go to a rock show to see something new. If this includes speeding up the songs a bit then thats fine with me. However, after listening to Kicking Teleision earlier today your comments came to me and I realized that they are definately playing things a bit fast. When I did focus on the tempo I became slightly annoyed. So I can see this annoys people, but for me I could easily ignore it and just focus on some other aspect. This is maybe in a weird sense the "price" u pay to see live
  16. This is the first wilco release that i will actually care about. I became hooked shortly after AGIB was released. Im really excited, I can't wait to hear some "new" material--I like the songs that are supposedly on the album. I'm also interested to see how Nels' guitar will fit in with the studio recording...as his guitar seems to be suited for live improv. I heard the song Impossible Germany live last fall and was amazed at the instrumentation displayed. What do you all think?
