Yeah I saw that...I've decided on a 335, just waiting until the money situation is settled. Thanks for all the input everybody

Yeah it's great, can't wait for more...have you guys heard his Daytrotter Sessions? I think you can get them from the Daytrotter website. Good stuff
-
Simon Dawes, check them out if you haven't heard of them yet Two EPs: And their debut full length:

Anybody here like David Vandervelde? Or even heard of him? Good stuff, for the most part, especially the song Nothin' No (which Jay Bennett worked on with him). Awesome? Sure why not.

How do you guys feel about Rick's?
-
Yes! I would love to see them in a more intimate setting than with 80,000 other people at Bonnaroo
-
Yeah videotape gives me chills. And I am going to try to wait until the actual album comes out...I better tighten up the bolts if I don't want to get a leak.
-
So they are mastering it in New York while not hanging out with Spoon. It's getting close!
-
Yeah, it has its moments but other than that I don't think I'll keep it on the ol' harddrive

So I just found this version of Kid A someone put together...they played two copies of Kid A on top of each other, only the second one is played 17 seconds later and it creates all sorts of cool harmonies and echos... Anyone heard it? I found it over here.

I need a new pair of nice, loud (noise cancelling is pretty key), big, awesome headphones...suggestions? Looking to spend around 100

Perfect From Now On by Built to Spill Oh and T Rex and LCD Soundsystem and Dinosaur Jr. and Quasi and most definately without a doubt Sonic Youth plus a lot of Spoon and UNKLE and some others

This was my honest to god reaction when I first heard the album: "I've got it! The reason they played this on their website for everyone to hear is because this isn't the real next album! It's a fake that is meant to mislead everyone! Everyone will be expecting this but what they will actually get will be the REAL album which is so amazing that people's heads will explode!" And then I saved the tracks on my computer, put it away for a month, still held out for the "real" album to leak and then had this one grow on me. Now I like it. End of story.

What can I say ... I like to mix it up

I think the brief (har har har) title should describe this one pretty accurately. I'm gonna go with In Reverie by Saves the Day who are an emo (ugh) band but this album seems very dark and Beatlesesque to me. And then bands that burned out and only made one album which was good would be The Amps, Bash and Pop... Fuck I had all this momentum for this thread and it just burned out by the time I started writing it... oh well

I've got the AD25 and boy this thing is great and is a tank ...I've had it for about two years or so and it's lasted countless flights cross country, freshman dorm life, and all around general abuse and still sounds just as good. I love it!

Does he also do it in part of the solo on Impossible Germany, because if so I know what you are talking about and I have no idea how he does it.

Yippee! I got my orange vinyl last night and it's pretty sweet. I like the packaging and the DVD leaves something to be desired (only because it is so short...4 songs? I guess that's better than nothing). Does anybody know where the curtain of lights videos are on the internet? I tried youtube but came up empty handed. A download of all of those would be nice too...

Good thing I won't have the money for a while because I was all set on getting either the 335 or 333 but now I really want a telecaster. Ugh... At least I won't have to decide for a good couple of weeks.

You must have been near me. The guy in the row in front of me kept ducking under the seats to light up. Anyway, great show. I saw two mic stands in the center orchestra section, so hopefully there will be a pretty awesome recording coming out. Thanks tapers! I knew that it was going to be a great show after they opened with Sunken Treasure. That new arrangement that is like a combination of JT solo version and full band version is really quite spectacular. That was a great way to see Wilco for the first time!

I second the request for Black Eye. I'm pretty sure it is Capo on 3 and then Am with sus thrown in there and then there's a G and an F and a Csus. Anyone got a full on tab going for this one? I would really appreciate it.

Thanks guys. This is all a big help. Unfortunately I've had two finals today so I'm not quite in the right mindset, but in a couple of days this will all be put to good use. I think I'm leaning more towards a 335...I'll look more into some other 330s once I fly back home from school. I loves my amp, so I guess I'll just try some out and see where I end up. What are the major differences between the 333 and 335?
-
Yeah I have always wanted a 335. I absolutely love them. I never thought about throwing a Bigsby onto a telecaster...hmmm that sound's pretty appealing. Or on the 335...hmmm....

So I'm planning on getting a new guitar in the coming month or two. I'm looking to go up to about 1500 give or take. I was going to go with a Telecaster but I can't commit to a Fender...I don't know what it is, I just don't really see myself as a Fender guitar guy. Anyway, I next was thinking one of the Epiphone Elite Casinos or some other kind of hollowbody. So now I'm completely in a rut and have no idea what I want. I've got an SG right now going through a Fender (amps are ok with me) Deluxe Reverb. Any recs are more than appreciated.
