Well here's an update....Just checked into my hotel in Needles, CA. My back is starting to get a little sore but other than that I'm all good. Only 6 more hours of driving left and I was so close to just pushing ahead and going the rest of the way, but it could have ended with me asleep at the wheel. Anyway...the best part of my drive today was going through Flagstaff, AZ. I didn't know that there was so much green in Arizona. Plus it was raining and there was crazy lightning off in the mountains. It was very cool.

Most definately! Having arrived in Albequerque about an hour ago, I can easily say this is my favorite stop just for the sheer coolness of it. I'm gonna go exploring. 2 more days left!

Haha. Free lunch would be great! But I'm meeting up with friends I haven't seen in years along the rest of the way so I think I will have to pass. I think this summer I'm going to do it again but going back to Carolina and do it with a friend that time. Just go and explore. Amen.

I would but I have to be out there by Friday. I'm planning on doing it again and taking more time instead of taking the 40 the whole way out there.

So I'm typing this from my hotel room in Oklahoma City, OK. I left Hilton Head, SC and am going to Santa Barbara, CA. It's been pretty fun so far. My car is packed up and I've had my iPod and XM radio to keep me company. I stayed with some friends in Clemson, SC for a couple of days then went to Memphis last night and was so tired, I didn't explore the city at all (unfortunately). I have a terrible headache right now, otherwise I would be out there checking out OKC, but I'm going to Albuquerque tomorrow and somewhere close to the California state line the next day then it's to my house in SB.

Not even going to get into that argument. I know Jon Brion stopped because of a ruined friendship over the drugs, but I was talking about more concrete stuff like which songs were part of those sessions. I know the noisier ones were done with the McConnell (or whatever his name is) so I'm thinking songs like True Love were part of it. Who knows really, I guess.

I just watched this video on CNN.com that was sent in by somebody who videotaped this horrible car accident in which cars just continued to slam into each other resulting in the death of a police officer. It really hit me more intensely than I thought it would, possibly because of the torrential downpours here this evening...anyway, I'm now listening to Airbag by Radiohead and I'm beginning to see Thom's point on the dangers of automobiles.
