  1. This happened to me too. If you delete the .txt part and hit enter, it will ask you if you want to keep the .txt extension or the .flac one and you should choose the flac one. It's kind of a hassle because you have to do it for each file.
  2. Did a (relatively) complete collection ever come to be?
  3. Yeah not too impressed with it either. I was bored the whole way through, in fact I can't really remember anything specific so that is exactly a good sign...Hopefully it picks up
  4. The owl and the bear has at least one, possibly more. Go down to the T section and try March 3rd
  5. I'm 200,099,999.87% sure. But wait....Foxtrot is really good too
  6. Hey ya'll, I'm looking for the picture from Sky Blue Sky with all of the band's faces. It's the one that is the backside of the lyric sheet that comes with the vinyl copy of the album. Anyone got it scanned or a high quality version...I'm making a poster from it but any copy of the image will do.
  7. "Peace and love ain't no game Peace and love ain't no shame You never what you need In a world of fear and greed Peace and love, peace and love! The monster meets his match Tear it down, start from scratch, ohhh Peace and love ain't no pose She's not just some song you sing at shows Chained to the wheel Peace and love cut through steel Peace and love, peace and love!" - Quasi
  8. I'm a little tired of their schpeel though. It's great how much fun their concerts are but they've been doing (essentially) the same show for the past five years or so. I want them to try something new!
  9. No I think it was the 12th. It was the last show of their stint at the Fonda, I know that for sure. He said that of the three nights there that we were the best crowd, if that helps clarify things at all. I'm looking forward to the review anyway!
  10. Well they were pretty great last night. They played a good number of stuff from Girls Can Tell and Series. I think somebody called out for Nefarious from Telephono and Britt said something that was either "We don't play a song called Nefarious" or "We don't know that one". The opening act was really good too. Fun was had!
  11. Yeah that's how I found out about them and after listening I was surprised they weren't bigger, ya know?
  12. Yippee! I'm seeing them for the first time in LA tomorrow night and I couldn't be more excited. Let you know how it was when I get back.
  13. Oh I've got those three and Field Studies and R&B Transmogrification as well. And the only cover that beats Hot Shit! would be this:
  14. Anyone heard them before? Great little band that no one really seems to know about. I really like their album When the Going Gets Dark. It's a shame they aren't really doing it anymore...
  15. That is amazing. Here's s'more (with credit where it is due): Taken by Autumn De Wilde Taken for the Simon Dawes blog Again for the Simon Dawes blog
  16. I saw them in LA last night and boy was it awesome. The riffage was rifftacular and Lou's bass playing was awesome. The crowd thinned a little bit after Band of Horses played though...
  17. Exactly. And there is no ripping off the Chuck Norris schpeel. It's just that John's beard really did save a little kid.
  18. His new beard is magical and wondrous. I heard it even saved a small child's life once. Good times.
  19. Yes Bruce and Band of Horses bring me hope.
  20. I've been meaning to get one for about a year and now I'm thinking about going through with it too.
  21. Let's see I got some more: Silver and Gold by Strummer and the Mescaleros Which Will by Nick Drake Gagging Order by Radiohead Videotape by Thom Yorke (from the basement video) Hotcha Girls by Ugly Cassanova Peer Pressure by Jon Brion The End by Ryan Adams made me cry in the car today so I would count that one Two Points for Honesty by Guster Talking Shit About A Pretty Sunset by Modest Mouse Not A Friend by Sebadoh Another One Goes By by The Walkmen And I'm done.
