  1. Oops, I guess you're right. That was from Bridge School - anywhere else? (I was even at that show, but somehow I still don't remember.)
  2. I don't think they've played My Country Has Disappeared.
  3. Oh God. As much as I'd love to see another show at the Pabst, the three separate onsales this week just about killed me with stress.
  4. Thanks for the alert, Kris - didn't know it was on sale.
  5. Don't think I can help you out with tickets, but just so you know - the Pabst will absolutely take away your camera, and possible break your memory card (as someone here on VC knows all too well) if they even think you may be taking video during a show.
  6. Hey Ryan, do you man the Pabst Twitter feed?
  7. You're still trying for better? Matt, if you get row AA or BB tomorrow, I call dibs on your CC tickets!
  8. I'm even more impressed by your memory, then. And as many, many people have noted - the steroids comment was actually from Cain's. I wonder if they asked Jeff to wear the suit again there so they could more easily splice footage.
  9. Thank you for that, Maudie! Okay, did you have a pencil and paper out during the film? Sounds great, and makes me wish I were seeing another show at Cain's soon. I agree that the chronology seems a little weird. Next people to see a screening with Brendan Canty should ask him about that choice. I'm sure they had a reason; I'd be interested in hearing what it was.
  10. Thank you for sharing that. It reminds me of one of my favorite quotes, from Il Postino. "Poetry doesn't belong to those who wrote it, but to those who need it." That goes for music, too. Best of luck to you, and your family.
  11. When they said that their editors would be angry if they gave anything else away, that made it sound like there may be a more substantial "real" article to come.
  12. They're also already scheduled to play Bonnaroo in June.
  13. Has anyone seen any ticket limits posted? I'm kind of worried about that - buying multiple sets of tickets, intending to sell (not scalp) the others if you find better ones - but then they cancel your orders.
  14. Two different presales. Wednesday is Wilcoworld. Wilcoworld lists the correct time. Music Today shows EST.
  15. At the Big Sky film festival, it won Best Cinematography. On the fest's site there are a few pictures I hadn't seen, and also a review/comment: "As much a concert film as it is a film about the demise of the America we used to know, one of community stores, small town markets and walking in neighborhoods. Sprawl and box stores have invaded small town America, and this country will never be the same." http://bigsky.bside.com/2009/films/wilcoto...A7A924E#reviews
  16. Is that Effingham? I remember that thing.
  17. In the Wilco one? From the link, click to look at the images one by one. It has the first few pages of the book in there.
  18. Couldn't we just move this thread to TTL, as the official Blu-Ray thread with a tiny bit of Wilco DVD discussion? Any objections?
  19. Oh cool, I don't think I'd ever seen that picture! Does it get bigger?
  20. I saw a Soundstage taping back when Wilco and Sonic Youth were on the show in 2003. I recall an amazing "Not For The Season" with Jim O'Rourke as a guest. Of course it didn't wind up on the broadcast.
  21. Ahhh! Thanks for the heads up. I just bought a ticket for that one - you can get them through the schedule, but I didn't see anything for the Wilco premiere. (That's technically the night after the fest ends.) Also, I saw this on Wilco's site: Wilco's live concert film "Ashes of American Flags" will have it's world premiere February 20 at the Big Sky Documentary Film Festival in Missoula, Montana. That's coming right up! I hope someone here goes and reports back.
  22. I thought about that (moving to the Riverside) but I'm hoping that won't happen. Usually a show gets moved to the Riverside when the tickets sell better or more quickly than expected. But even before these tickets go on sale, they have to assume both will sell out. The concert announcements make mention of "special nights" at the "intimate Pabst." It just sounds to me like the Pabst was a conscious decision for this. (If that's wishful thinking, well, I'll just go along with it for now.)
  23. Awesome night! I adored, non-inclusive and in no particular order: More Like The Moon, Simple Twist of Fate, So Much Wine, Dreamer in My Dreams, and of course All the Same to Me. And because I see it being discussed elsewhere, for what it's worth, Jeff said "June-ish" for the new album.
