two weeks has a huge thompson twins-ish vibe to me. not a big fan of grizzly bear. too many snoozers.

and i've never noticed before, but jeff has that volume pedal that increases (i guess) delay. how does he run that and keep it muted while keeping his guitars not muted? does that make sense?

yeah i got it a few years ago to get a real treble-y Jerry Garcia/Steve Kimock-like tone, but it wasn't necessary and i don't really play in that style anymore.

i am laying off of it a bit til it releases in physical form. i like it though. SBS took me a while to really get comfortable with...actually all of their albums take me a little bit to really fall in love with them. overall, i like the album though.

dave matthews band's insightful lyrics + phish+dmb's jams = wilco. amirite?

they're nice pieces of technology. i've used mine a little, but just never really found the setting i liked, and my setup sounds pretty good without it. hell, i might use it if i sat down with it tomorrow. ....which i will do.

i've got one of the Boss EQs that i never used. if you want it it's yours (for a small price, but still).

i don't think he said anything about intruding on their lives. it seemed like he was just saying he wanted to see the building. i don't see why that is such a big deal. there's a difference between checking out the building and actively trying to break in or something. a more apropos analogy would be him checking out a woman and him slapping the woman on the ass. one is done every day, no big. the other is creepy.

and you calling him on it is kinda pointless. who cares if he wants to go check it out?

BFD. i don't think jeff particularly cares if anyone likes it. he's said many times he feels no need to defend anything he makes. everyone should read The Angel Is My Watermark" by Henry Miller from the Wilco Book.

good point. it is a very "quiet" record with loud songs. as for Wilco (the album)....it's really fun to listen to. You & I is just really sweet and nice.
