  1. B-Room is out. Man, abstain from listening until I can pick up the vinyl or listen right now on Spotify. There's nothing like listening to a new record for the first time on Vinyl. But my will power is waning by the minute.
  2. I'm waiting until release to hear the whole thing, but I have liked (not loved) the two songs I have heard so far. I agree that they really can't go wrong though and every album they release will be solid. But IMO, their first three albums were the pinnacle of their career and I don't believe they'll ever return to that greatness, which is perfectly ok in my book. Their live shows are where they really shine.
  3. Yep and you get to see her mammies in season 2.
  4. I liked the first season but the second was just way too far fetched, even for Homeland's standards.
  5. Yeah the most disturbing part about that episode is how Todd is kind to Jesse (giving him ice cream etc.) and starts to appear human afterall. But we are reminded of what an animal he is during the Jesse's girlfriend scene... Also it seems like something is brewing with the whole Todd/Lydia relationship. He's obviously sweet on her, and she's all business and doesn't give a shit.. Seems like she's going to break his heart, and being the murderous psychopath he is, it won't be pretty...
  6. 5? Mine only needed 2.9 gigs. But I have a 4. You get most of the space back though. So if you have to delete, you can always redownload (I did this with several apps). It's worth it though. 7 Is pretty freaking sweet.
  7. Today after work I help my kids with homework until its time to take one of them to football practice while squeezing in dinner somewhere in there and trying to make it home in time to watch the Clemson game then staying up until the wee hours of the morning mixing music and then waking up at 5:30 the next morning to do it all over again.
  8. Yeah I finally got to watch that Livestream. You can really see how great they are vocally when they play stripped down/acoustic like that. Digging the new tunes. I listened to Easy Beat the other day. By far my favorite Dr. Dog record. Really need to own it on Vinyl.
  9. They were one of the firsts to combine happy feelgood country with rock. Todays pop country is happy feelgood country with rock undertones. You tell me there's not a disturbing similarity.
  10. It all makes sense now! Thank you, oh wise one..
  11. I am not ashamed to admit that I like the Eagles. I'm a guitar guy, and the Don Felder/Joe Walsh duo is/was one of the best. However, I have always considered them to be the pioneers of what we know today as pop country...
  12. And while you're at it, what the hell is a Virginia Tech Hokie?
  13. I disagree. If he can go from Hal to Heisenberg, the man can do anything and make it awesome. And besides, no one can play Lex Luther without it looking like a parody except for Gene Hackman.
  14. Yeah just turn on any pop country radio station and you can hear it on every song.
  15. A dude hanging out by himself in the kids play area.. Not creepy at all.
  16. Yeah but why are the chemical weapons the red line? If we were going to help those people, we should have done it a long time ago. I wish we could help everyone that is helpless, but we can only do so much.
  17. If applying autotune makes talentless singers sound good, then why stop... The average listener will always eat what is fed to them.
  18. We should have bombed their asses a long time ago. Not really sure why chemical weapons were the "red line". What about the red line for killing thousands of innocent civilians over the last two years? Not red enough I guess.. That line must just have a pinkish hue..
  19. Yeah I heard he did some years back, just wasn't sure when. Don't know how I missed those.
  20. Has Tweedy gone south of the mason dixon line for a solo show in the last 10 years? Always wanted to catch him solo, but he's never come remotely close to me.
