The most I ever paid for parking was $20 at the Time Warner Cable Arena in Charlotte for Clapton, and that was because I was with my father who has bad knees. This was right up next to the venue. $20 is outrageous, $40 is just rape..

Whats a tahini? I wore a wallet chain in highschool before they were hip.

Yeah they have made The Orange Peel a regular stop. I think they've been there every year since 2010, maybe even earlier. I missed them the last two times, won't miss them again. Surprised there's no Philly show since it is more/less their home town.

Every year I pickup a large amount of horse shit from my parents horse farm to put in our garden. My Dad always calls me up "so you ready to come pick up some shit?"

Same here.

I dig the new song. Doesn't really knock my socks off or anything but its a solid tune. I definitely get the whole soul thing, although that sound isn't really new for them. Looking forward to the rest.

Can't wait to hear the new tune on my drive home. Yeah "Be the Void" was a good record, but not their best. I think its their only record that I didn't completely wear out.. Just seems like there was something missing from it. "A soul album" sounds intriguing...

Never been a big fan of the DBT. They have some really good songs but their albums overall are too hit or miss. A couple gems here and there and the rest of the album filled with clunkers.
-
I like it a lot too. Planning to really soak it in on a long road trip the next couple days.. In my humble opinion, its better than anything DBT ever put out...

He also knows where you can find muskies at the end of a dick.

Everyone needs a good girk. I love my girk.

This album is pretty good. Its quite different than her last, more folky and not all the way gospel/soul. Not sure if that kind of style/production works as well for her, but its still a decent record.

Maybe they saw this post and it was a wake-up call..

I'm just having fun. You should try it sometime. * * It's a Star Wars quote.

Apology accepted, Captain Needa.

What exactly are the requirements to be classified as a Dad Rock band? If the musicians are Dads? If the fans are Dads? I had no idea Dad Rock was such a complex term..

Whether you agree with what he did or not, he's a little punk that deserves a good ol' fashion ass whippin.

Just wait until you start making grammatical errors...

Anyone on this board ever see Sublime live?

Same with my cover band! It's one of the few songs I sing (normally just play lead guitar). Folks from college age to 30-40 somethings LOVE that song. I was never a huge fan either but 40 oz used to be my going to the beach album. I can remember driving down the strip or "cruising" at Myrtle Beach (back when cruising was still cool) listening to 40 ozs. -
Thanks PT, I'll check em out.

I have a long drive for a show tonight and I need an album to listen to. Something that rocks with lots of guitar, but more on the experimental/psychedelic side without getting too weird. I know I just described a Deerhunter album, but I have worn them out the last several weeks.. Go!
