Don't let THDW get to you.. He loves to jerk people's chains.. He excels at it.

I'm transferring jobs and moving to Greenville SC. It's actually more like 4 hours away (type-o) It's not 100% official yet, but it's more than likely going to happen.

Me too! My wife and I were discussing this last night. The only way they could truly make it up to us, if they played extra long (like 3 hours) like they did for the residency shows, or if they schedule another date.. If they do one of those things, they will be 100% forgiven in my book.

Family guy is the funniest animated series ever (next to The Simpsons) and I would be willing to check it out. But I agree that it's kind of strange to choose Cleveland..

Reading these posts, I never realized how many people are afraid of flying. I really do enjoy flying. The rush of the take off, the peaceful feeling cruising above the clouds at 30,000 ft.. I should have been a pilot. I would get my pilots license if it wasn't so freakin expensive and I had the time for the lessons.... Ok enough about me..

Ah, didn't realize you were a youngin. Well, I've been over 21 since I was 15 years old.

Now you're talking.. Alcohol - the cause and solution to all of life's problems.

My favorite post for the day.

I agree mostly with bleedorange. It's one of those albums (and I've never quite been able to put my finger on it) that I just don't listen to as often as the others. Of course when I first got it, I practically wore it out, but I will always put in Being there or YHF before I would put in SBS. But as far as songs on the album, it's probably Jeff's most brilliant work to date in my opinion. "On and On" is simply a brilliantly written song.. But thats just one of them.. They are all brilliant, but "On and On "just stands out the most to me.

Great advice.. Thats how I feel as well, when you realize the stats. But if you are nervous for other reasons, have a few drinks.. I actually enjoy flying, but my wife gets a little nervous, so she has a couple vodka tonics before flight, and we end up talking, laughing, the whole way.. Fun stuff..

That would be very cool indeed. Of course I have no idea what they will do, but I'm sure it'll be something grand.. Maybe they will bring each fan into a room individually, and perform a private concert.. I'm totally kidding.. But hey, I smell a thread brewing.. "Ideas for how Wilco will make it up to the fans.. etc. etc.."
-
That's why I love the South..
-
Well, they DID say they were going to make it up to us for the whole... eeh hmm.. charleston debacle.. So these kind of dates could actually be possible.. You should add the Peace Center in Greenville, SC. That's a Wilco size venue.

Yeah, there has always been the fear of a terrorist attack here because of the naval weapons station, chemical plants, etc. They actually caught a couple college kids a few months ago with bomb making materials and a laptop with terrorist instructional videos... Kind of scary..

Man, with all the controversy this Charleston thing has caused, I actually LIVE in Charleston.. Anyone want my autograph?
-
Forgive my ignorance, but what is that list for?
-
Maybe it just wasn't possible for them to play on 2/29.. They never have before.

Wilco - If you read this, Charleston still loves you

This is a thread for people who understand and support Wilco's decision to go with SNL instead of Charleston. Yes, I am disappointed that I have to wait until August to see you, and by then I will be moved out of Charleston to another city six hours away, and I'll have to take two days off of work. Of course I'm not happy about it, but you guys did what you had to do, and it's going to take a lot more than that to lose me as a fan. Pissed people, please go here. Understanding/forgiving people, post here.

Well, I got my "co-workers walking by the office, wondering why I'm laughing so hard" moment for the day.
-
Plain and simple... I'm pissed because they rescheduled and to be honest, the day I found out, all I did was drink bourbon and mope around the house all day.. I was depressed.. My life has been revolving around this concert since December.... BUT, again, they made a decision that was best for business.. The simple fact that Wilco is one of the most giving, fan friendly bands that has ever been, I support them on their decision.. And I'm sure they will find a way to make it up to us Southerners or anyone else that is traveling down in August.. Even though they really don't even owe us th

Yes, I'm incredibly disappointed that I'm not going to see Wilco this Friday, but I agree 100% with the above statement. I guess being a performing musician for most of my adult life, I know where they are coming from... They're running a business.. And sometimes, the fans have to suffer for it. But still, Wilco has a record of being very loyal to their fans and heck, they instantly rescheduled Charleston.. A lot of bands would just cancel and then be done with it. Yes, they didn't handle the situation perfectly (they could have posted the news on their website sooner, they could have re

Well, they finally decided to update their website for the new date. August 7th, all original tickets will be honored. Five days notice.....
-
Yep.. Now that truly sucked. In this case, it sucks, but at least they rescheduled and we get to keep our seats. At first, I was angry at Wilco, but I really can't blame them.. But I'm a little disturbed that they haven't posted the news on their site, and the venue still says the show is this Friday.. Not sure what to make of that yet..

Wow.. I didn't even think about the PAC site. Hmmmmm..... They better announce something soon, or a lot of people are going to be showing up at the PAC to an empty house. Edit: From what I can tell, the event has been removed from the PAC site.
