  1. I've always liked Pat too.. He has a great stage presence. And you know how picky Jeff is about choosing band members. He has to be very talented..
  2. Anything from Wes Montgomery (legendary jazz guitarist in case you don't know), but especially "Round Midnight".. Wes learned to play with his thumb because he didn't want to disturb his wife when he was practicing late at night. His thumb gave it that fat, warm sound on that big Gibson hallow body.
  3. Is anyone really going for the music? The place will be mostly filled with female Costner fans.. And dude's going just to hit on female Costner fans..
  4. I hate the weakness question. It's so cliche. My best interview ever was "Looks like you got the education, the experience, now let's go have a beer.. ".. Had a few beers, laughed, shot the shit.. The manager thought I was a cool guy and I got the job. But good luck llynn. VIBES.
  5. Patrick Swayze - She's Like the Wind
  6. I like most of the Bragg stuff. Hell, Hotrod Hotel is one of my favorite songs from any Wilco album. It's where I got my screen name.
  7. Hell yes cryptique.. And interplanetary travel will be a reality!
  8. Well, racism certainly won't be gone in my lifetime.. Or my childrens lifetime. But one day, according to the physicist Michio Kaku, we will be a type ll civilization and racism will be a thing of the past..
  9. In a way, it is.. Just how racist white people make themselves look like jackasses.. I mean, yes, a black person can be the victim of a hate crime, and it's by far not their fault.. But from a big picture perspective, until people of all colors stop singling themselves out, there will always be racism.. When I see Rev. Wright or others so angry and spreading hate, I wonder "geeze, this is the 21st centery.. get over it.. let's just love each other damnit!"
  10. I'm that good! No really, refering ikol's post: Jesus even forgave the very people that executed him..
  11. Totally.. Dude! That's him! Someone please photoshop some dreads on him.
  12. Very well said. I mean yes, Obama condemned his statements to save his ass, but personally it would take me a little less than 20 years to figure out that Wright is a nut-job.. But that's just me..
  13. My great grandmother is full blooded native american (Osage to be exact).. I don't feel any affects from their troubles of the 17 and 1800's..
  14. Yes, in a way it is.. Not just black preachers, but anyone that believes that they have to be separated or recieve special attention. That's the problem! We are all human, we are all equal.
  15. Yes, and spreading hate.. The day that people like Wright or Jesse Jackson or others stop seperating black people from white people and spreading the hate, is the day that racism stops. If everyone would just shut up about racism, it wouldn't excist.. Why do black people need special rights, and why do companies have to have diversity programs, affirmative action etc... Separation is the root of the problem.
  16. Well, atleast Gamecock fans have accepted it.. Clemson fans always have false hope "this is the year we win the championship.. or atleast go to the ACC title game", but we always fall short... Same with basketball this year.. It's tough to be a Clemson fan..
  17. Yeah, but the teenie girls love him.. That's the only reason he has survived this long. I know right! My band tried to cover it live one time (on the spot, no rehearsal) and it completely went to shit.. Mostly because we were all drunk and laughing our asses off..
  18. He scared the shit of me when I woke up one Saturday morning and saw the VC post "Charleston rescheduled? August 7th says Ticketmaster...".. But the several hundred angry posts that followed were even scaryier..
  19. Yeah, Paula was like "You're so smart... Brave..." They need to get rid of her and hire another former member of Journey..
  20. I was refering to the last guy to perform (sorry, I don't remember his name, I only watch the show about twice a season) That was a great version of Billy Jean.. And he's just a tremendous singer. I'll make my early prediction, that he's the next idol.. I just can't listen to that song without thinking about the movie Old School: "I fuckin need you more THEN EVA"

    New Shows

Well, they did say that they promised to make it up to us for the Charleston reschedule. Maybe one of these new shows will be in close proximity to Charleston. Asheville? Greenville? or Charlotte even? If so, they will be forgiven in my book.. We'll see..
  22. Yeah I can see that.. He looks like Scott Stapp.
  23. Now I know I'm a Clemson fan, but geeze, USC is actually a good school.. Can't they get anyone other than thugs to join the football team? C'mon Spurrier.. You can do better.. But I'm sure Garcia will be back.
