  1. bbop, thanks for all you do, it's very much appreciated! And for the record, if I saw as many shows now as I did in years past I'd be complaining too. But now that I'm lucky just to see a show every couple years or so I'll be more than thankful for whatever I get. Which was Scottsdale this time around...which for that barely two hours it still took me to the promised land!
  2. I agree with all the above, well said peeps! The show was short but really sweet. I for one LOVED the song placement/selection. There were at least three of us taping, I'll have something up on etree/Dime from Wilco and Dr. Dog in a couple days....time to hit the road for the long beautiful drive back to CO. Ps: how bad was that fireworks diplay, in particular the music they chose to go with it?
  3. Darn, I guess I shoulda figured that out. Nice catch.
  4. Here's a link to a tracked out and labeled 192k mp3 quality version of the WFUV stream from last night. This sounds pretty darn good except for several dropouts during Company In My Back. But is better than nothing until they release it officially and we'll all purchase a copy You'll have to unzip it once you download it. The link will be available thru July 3rd.
  5. Yes, the stream was captured. There were a handful of signal dropouts early on but after that it sounded great.

  9. Can anyone chime in with who is playing what instrument? I think I hear both dobro and banjo.
  10. Yes, from Durango Colorado! Sounds great,,,,I'm updating the setlist in the WFUV thread.

  13. If you want to hear something krautrock-ish go check out some Stereolab.
  14. Someone had better tape this show...
  15. FYI- a recording of this show should be forthcoming on BT.
  16. You nailed it from my perspective.

  19. Well, Minus 5 did not play "Aw Shit Man" but blew me away nonetheless. It was great meeting Saluqi and family! Anyhow, just got back home from New Mexico (snuck in a little skiing at Taos today too) and all I can say is WOW about the Tweedy band. I had no idea they would be this good live....and I am guilty of not paying very much attention to them and the album, so shame on me. But better late than never! Gonna start prepping the recording tonight and hope to get that up in a few days. I'll post that info in the other thread. Stan is the man as most of us know and he outdid himself in
  20. Aw shit, no Aw Shit Man! Here's hoping they play it tonight in Santa Fe...
  21. Thanks for the heads up! They've sold way less than half the reserved seats and the pit is still available for this show. I'm not surprised they're doing this just to get bodies in the door.
  22. Getting a bit off topic here but thought I'd chime in- Way back in the day (circa 1976-1980) all we had to do for guaranteed front row tickets at the Tower Theatre in Philly was to wake up at 4am on Saturday morning(or stay up all night), and drive into the city and get in line with a handful of other people at the old Electric Factory ticket window. We got front row seats for many many shows this way. Ticketron (for those that remember it) was just coming online somewhere in that timeframe and then things got a little harder every year after that. My most memorable overnight camping
  23. Update on the Scottsdale ticket situation (which was part of this threads original discussion) As of this morning PIT tickets are still available at $92.50 each and 15th Row Reserved seats are available for appx $70 each. Perhaps seats for this particular venue are priced a little too high? Granted, the show has been on sale less than a week.
  24. Regarding the somewhat high price for the Scottsdale AZ show I assume Dr. Dog being on the bill is possibly a contributing factor.
