  3. So I just wanted to let you all in on what some of my friends and I are doing this year, in case you want to be included. From our standpoint, 2007 was pretty much overall the worst year in a lot of people's lives that we love and care for so much. So to help it all go away and make room for what can only be a much BRIGHTER & HAPPIER New Year, this is what we are planning to do... At midnight tomorrow, we will have a little fire going on outside my house where we will stand in the snow (whether we end up with 4 inches or a foot tonight...lol) and burn away all the misery that has befal

  8. Oh, now that you say that, it was high 80's actually...like 88.1 or something. Ring a bell?!?
  9. If that's a station's call letters, it still doesn't help me unfortunately
  10. Not sure if anyone else has heard it on the radio yet, but I heard it during my drive to Jersey this weekend. So it was either a NY or NJ station, unfortunately I can't remember which I've heard it before online, but something about sitting in that traffic and listening to his voice made me swoon I just think it's an absolutely incredible version!!!
  11. So my 2nd favorite band after Wilco is a great 5 man band, out of Sussex County, NJ, by the name of Subcommittee. Unfortunately, these fine gentleman have decided after 14 years to go their separate ways. They played their last show this past Friday night at the Stanhope House. It was incredible as always and you could really tell the guys put their all into everything they did. Over the past three years I've known them, I've gotten to be friends with them and learned a little bit about each one. My FAVORITE fun fact about the lead singer is that he really digs Wilco, too!!! So last night
  12. Bummer! Have fun!!! EDIT: Actually my friend and I will be looking for new bands to give us a reason to travel, maybe YOURS will be it!!!
  13. So ya coming then?!? The bass player's name is Doug if that makes you feel better
  14. I know it's short notice, but if you're in the area and dig some rocking music....THIS is the way to go!!! "rockfunkreggaeskajammyjazzband" www.myspace.com/subcommittee If you check out this link I highly suggest listening to "Midget Song" These lovely gentleman are playing their last show after 14 years together. They are going on an indefinite hiatus due to family issues. I've been traveling down to NJ from MA for the past 3 years as much as possible to go catch them live. They put on a helluva show and are really great genuine people. The cover's $12 or $10 if you bring a non-
  15. My girls both love teh Wilco, of course. They even at times have requested to hear certain tunes. And today on the way to school, they both very proudly told me how they heard Wilco on the radio when they were with Daddy over the weekend. When it started to play they both looked at each other with recognition and glee Btw, I have to mention I am VERY surprised by the radio play, as I know their father and stepmother do not listen to ANY of the stations I normally listen to (and even mine barely, barely ever play Wilco).
  16. I've been to Toad's Place quite often, so I usually park in the same public lot everytime up near what seems to be the "center of it all". Is the Shubert relatively close to Toad's?!?
  17. Sorry, I recognize him as an actor but didn't know he was a musician, as well.
  18. Just listened to a tune of his. I've never heard of him before, kinda reminds me of Robbie Fulks.
