Hello Ellen, this is Jeff Tweedy...

Okay...no, I haven't been sleeping since last time I wrote I have talked to most of you and filled you in on the details. So for the rest... Basically, my chat with Jeff was short, simple and sweet (and A-MA-ZING!!!) "Hello Ellen, this is Jeff Tweedy..." Duh! Like I didn't KNOW!!! At the end, "Okay Ellen, you have a great night and hopefully, we'll see you out here next time." (He said my name TWICE!!! ) My talk with Glenn was more of a conversation (5-10 mins). He asked where I was, why I was there (as I wasn't in my home state), we talked about the challenges for us here in the -

Yup...a snob. Well before the phone call from Jeff & Glenn, I was having a pretty mediocre time. It turned out there were 4 bands altogether. We missed the 1st one. The 2nd was decent, think they were called Covin...original stuff, pretty hardcore...a few covers...female bass player. They rocked hard and put on a decent show. The 3rd band...Rockstar...OMFG...covers were what they were about. None of the band members looked they even belonged in the same band. The lead singer did play to the audience and stuff, but it was just...ugh!!! I found myself standing there arms crossed, eye alm -
Yup, it's true...and I'm still freaking out!!! My wonderful, generous, selfless friend Belinda decided to ask both Jeff and Glenn if they would talk to me. We are very unsuccessful out here in the East in getting to be able to see the band after the show. So Bel figured this would be the next best thing. And IT WAS!!! After the Louisville show this evening, while waiting for her turn for pics & autographs, she thought why not ask Jeff...the worst he could do was say "no", but instead he took the phone without hesitation I had been at a show myself, but came outside to the ca

Sorry...I think they're fun. Have you ever actually been to a show?!? And like I said...going to see them was how I discovered an absolutely, incredible band that I am now friends with and travel to NJ quite often just to catch a gig So who knows what else I'll discover tonight -

If anyone is in there area or doesn't mind traveling for some fun, there's a fantastic cover band called The Nerds playing tonight. They play everything from 'American Pie', 'You Shook Me All Night Long' to current mainstream stuff. It's not necessarily anything I would go out and purchase (the actual artists, I mean) but it is one helluva a show! They're usually just in NY & NJ and basically do private parties these days, i.e. weddings and birthdays. So they don't get to grace New England as much as they used to. They'll have at least two openers too. I discovered another really great b -

I saw him at the beginning of this tour, Nov '05 in Northampton, MA. It was INCREDIBLE to say the least!!! I had almost last row seats and at the last minute (and by last minute I mean at the end of Glenn's opening act). I ended up with 6th row center!!! I cried all the way down, I figure that night I knew how Elvis & Beatles fans felt... -

Ummm, I don't know if I even have words to describe it... "Whoa" just doesn't seem to do him justice I cried during Sunken Treasure and IATTBYH. I love listening to him laugh and have fun, and yell at those stupid people who were talking...ha So glad to FINALLY have this -

Look not only do I have patience, but I SEARCHED for the topic So after waiting almost a full year, I now have the DVD in my hands!!! My friend bought it for me after I won a little contest she had. As soon as the girls are in bed, it's just about me & Jeff!!! I am absolutely going out of my mind in anticipation!!! -
I absolutely, positively this picture. One of my favorite things about going to Chicago is flying in at night and getting a look at that incredible skyline The city itself is beautiful to me no matter the time of day!!!

Well, I tried many different ways of posting it here for you all, but alas could not. I have the close up picture of Jeff *sigh* from the American Way article in the June 1, 2007 issue (pg.38).
