Yes, unfortunatly. Some of the bad things (minor spoilers): 1) The Doctor is revelied to be half human (not sure if that is true) 2) Eric Roberts is the Master 3) the plot is insane Some of the good things 1) Paul McGann 2) Slyvester McCoy's regeneration 3) Coolest TARDIS interior ever All in all it is pretty forgettable and bad. Though it had potential. Paul McGann was a pretty cool Doctor and it would have been neat to see him do more, the Audio plays are pretty good. Let's hope he comes back in the 50th anniversary. I think if Fox/BBC picked it up (as was the intention) it woul

Hello I am Joba Chamberlain, and I am dumb.

weird, I have always felt there a segment of population that has immense talent, but for various reasons tend to screw it up.

I love Jamie Moyer!

Never said they were evil, just saying the current tax system favors corporations, it should be changed. They are not reinvesting in America, nor for the most part are they giving back to their shareholders, they are sitting on their cash. When people complain about the "free stuff" people are getting (i.e. social programs) they tend ignore the fact that America has been operating a corporate welfare system for years. The current republicans (and many democrats for that matter) want to continue this system, we can't afford that. Everyone needs to pay their share. I pay taxes, you pay

It is true that the current tax law allows for tax breaks, they are there, when corporations use them they are not breaking the law. It is in their right as a company to keep as much of their money as they can. But is that moral? Who is really getting stuff for free? Is women and families who are getting "free" birth control (which is not free cause last I checked you still have to pay health care premiums) or the GE which has an outstanding loan to the government of 1.043 billion? Is it then fair for GE to pay a negative tax rate? It is fair the effective tax rate for corporations to

Perfect analogy. I was trying to think of one and that is apt.

People and corporations operate in a society. Living in a society cost money. Where do you think the roads came from, where do you think the schools that your neighborhood kids go to comes from, where do you think a social safety net comes from? Taxes. People who operate in society have to contribute to society. If there were no taxes this country would fall in to a catastrophic disarray beyond anything we have seen. Everyone, including corporations, need to pay taxes, it is the cost of living in our society. Living in America ain't free buddy. If you don't like taxes then you have

jinx you owe me a coke.

Except Mitt here is planning to give "free stuff" to corporations, in the way of tax cuts.

In our current political climate, I don't think anyone can fix what is wrong with our country. The two sides are so intrenched and bitter nothing is going to get done, no matter who is elected. It is sad really.
-
So now it all but appears to be Mitt v Obama just like we thought back in 2011. Any Mitt fans out there? Or anyone planning on voting Mitt in the general? Just wondering if anyone can make a solid case for voting him over Obama.

Got so upset in the 10th Doctor's story The Sontaran Strategy / Poison Sky the did not bring it back. It would have been perfect, he was back with UNIT, cars were acting crazy, he could have brought out old Bess and saved the day. It would have been a cool call back. Another reason why those episodes sucked.

The Third Doctor comes from a time when James Bond, the Avengers, etc were huge, I think this expression of the doctor tried to be much like that. That is thing I always liked about Doctor Who and the long running nature of the program, it really reflects the time it was made.
-
There is a lot of Patrick Troughton in what Matt Smith is doing today. Though I have always felt the second doctor was too cartoonish then he needed to be. There are some great Pertwee episodes, but it gets bogged down being on Earth for a majority of it. The Brigadier is great BTW.

Most of Sparky's comments are just too out there for me. Plus he really has shown no intent on debating an issue, just rather copy and pasting various videos and conspiracy theories about the government. I am to the point where I have stopped trying and skip his posts. So if I can bring it back to people who have a chance of winning this election or shaping it more. Let's talk about Rick Santorum. Question to Louie B, if memory serves you live in Illinois, can you vote in the Republican Primary? And if you could / are would you vote for Santorum, just to see the Republican crazy tr

Wow impressive. Thoughts thus far? Really interested in what you think of the early 80's (Peter Davidson), that is when I started getting into it.

It did not change my life.

Nice did not know that thanks for the heads up.
-
"Your man" interesting choice of words. Would rather you used "our President." So tired when people do not give the proper respect to the man who was elected as President. He is our president no matter if you like him or not. But I am being petty.
-
if Santorum gets elected politics and religion will be one and they same.

I have listened to it quite a few times. I admit I am an Andrew Bird fan, but I love it. Not on par with Eggs or Armchair, but real good.

The internet is one of the causes of our current state of political discourse. We sit in our offices, homes and whatnot, typing whatever we feel, with little or no regards to the person on the other end. Would we have these pissing matches, if we were at a party? Or with someone we met at work? Probably not, the face to face meeting tends to give an air of civility. Would we destroy someone's argument solely based upon a misspelled word or incorrect punctuation? Would Rush Limbaugh call Sandra Fluke a slut and a prostitute to her face? The internet has dehumanized people we argue w

I have come to the option that we are two very different people and will never come to a consensus on any political matter. I think that neither of us will change the others mind. Unfortunately, we both keep trying.
