I know Sveum from Milwaukee. But it is an underwhelming pick as a manger. I would have thought Theo would have wanted to make a splash with his first major move as the head of the Cubs. Either with a Cubs guy (Ryno, Brenley, Stone, etc.); or a legacy (Francona). I think every Cub's secret hope was Mike Maddux as Manager, Ryno as bench coach and Greg Maddux as Pitching coach. Is Sveum a step up from Quade, probably. Does he fill me with passion about the Cubs and make me excited, no.

I wonder who the next Cub's manager will be, Ryno was the fan favorite choice, but I don't think the best. Theo stated he wanted someone with Big League experience. I wouldn't be surprised if it was someone like Bob Brenely, the Cubs current TV color guy. He has won a world series, knows the cubs organizations, and has some very interesting ideas about the team. There is some talk that Theo will try to get Francona to manage for the Cubs, but I doubt it.

Listened to the album on Spotify. Interesting is the best word for it. It is also very listenable. I think it will be fun to throw in the rotation of music, for something different. I have seen a bunch of different interviews with Yo Yo for this record and man, he seems lie the coolest guy in the world. I would love to sit down and have beer with him.

Anyone heard anything about Goat Rodeo a Bluegrass album form Yo Yo Ma, Stuart Duncan, Edgar Meyer and Chris Thile. Saw them on Cobert last night. Interesting stuff. Now checking out on Spotify. Anyone else heard of it, and thoughts?

I am not saying intentially walk him every time, but Pujols can change the game with a swing of his bat, why give him anything to hit. Last night the Rangers pitched around him and he went 0-2 with 3 base on balls. The Rangers won that game. With Holliday batting .168 why even give him anything to hit, ever?

I hope for the return of skinny Pete and Badger. Those guys are awesome. I think a cool way to start next season would be to show Walt dying in a hospital, before every episode (like they did with the teddy bear in the pool and the airplane crash) and as the season went on it is reviled that it is a prison hospital, and the season would be a flash back on how he got there.

so where does it go from here? With the Gus dead and the Cartel gone do Walt and Jesse go back to cooking meth in an RV? Is it all gonna be Hank finding out Walt is a meth cook? I am not sure if there is much of a story to tell. Though here are some unanswered questions 1) Did Walt really poison Brock? 2) What were the results of Walt's last cancer scan? 3) Will Jesse find out about the OD of his girlfriend? 4) Who exactly was Gus in Chile? 5) Is the IRS issues solved with the dude who took a header into the wall? Will that come back to Skye in anyway?

i feel a slow burn on this season. Mos is awesome, and I think with the caliber of Jacob Edward James Olmos and Colin Hanks as the big bads this season I have high hopes.

One thought I had while at the show is there probably isn't a baby sitter available in the Madison area. I thought the show was good, the band sounded fantastic, the song selection was great. I loved the fact that Capitol City was the opener. Is that the first time it was played live? Wilcobase did not have any record, but it seems not to have been updated in a long time. I would have preferred more from Summerteeth but that is me. The energy was good, the Jeff's banter was great.
