Getting in the way back machine the 3/12/2001 Jeff Tweedy solo show at the old Guthrie in Minneapolis. Remarkable for a couple of things 1) The stage was set up for some play, where it looked like the entry way to a large house, with the front door directly behind Jeff. It made it feel as though you were in his house listening to him play. Also the guitar tech would walk around to the door and ring the door bell every time he would bring Jeff a guitar. 2) Great Tweedy banter, reference to things being cock. 3) Guest appearance by Gary Louris, and the best live version of Radio King I

Are you using the MLB iPhone App? That is what I use and have no issues with video and the like. It was $14.99, kinda pricey, but I get for the radio feeds of all the games. Also the condensed games are pretty cool.

John Simm is a fantastic actor. I would watch him read the phone book.

There was a whole lotta awesomeness in that trailer. Rory punches Hitler!

Did not see that coming. It will be interesting how he is used in conjunction with Axeford.

I guess I am watching it out of pure habit now. Everyone on that show is so self centered and whiny. Though the Doug story line is a bit interesting. My guess he is being set up for some sort of Enron accounting thing.

Mr. 3000 anyone? And a dramatic game to boot.

someone woke up on the wrong side of the forum this morning. If I were to have posted this poll I would have asked Strangers vs. Watch the Sunrise.

12-14 episodes per year is just about perfect. I think Lost would have been a better show if they cut the number of episodes per year (Paulo and Nikki anyone?). The format lends itself to tighter better story telling. Also the BBC appears to be in some sort of financial crisis and Doctor Who is probably an expensive show to produce. Remember the BBC is public funded (through TV licensees) and does not sell commercials for its shows. Series 7 of Doctor Who is going to be cut even more due to budget issues. But the good news is that series 7 will end on the 50th anniversary of the s

Hey you're back! Torchwood looks crackers btw.

anyone confirm in print that it is in "The Whole Love," cause if whole was spelled another way it is kinda gross.

You hear that sound? That is the sound of the everyone in Milwaukee and Cincinnati screaming with joy.

I don't know, the last 5 games were pretty entertaining. Taking 3 of 4 against a first place team. Pounding the Bronx Bombers? Castro might be one of the best young players right now. Yes they are years away from anything, but as soon as they start shedding some of their bad contracts it will turn around. This line up was not the plan, out of the starting day line up over a third has spent significant time on the DL (Byrd, Soto, Soriano, Barney) and their pitching staff has been similarly decimated. While I am not making excuses, but to ask "Was this lineup the plan..." is just stu

So the chances seems to indicate that the little girl in the space suit (and who we saw regenerate) in "Day of the Moon," is indeed Amy's daughter, who is River Song. But I have a handful of questions, if this is indeed true. 1) Does River remember being in the spacesuit as a little girl? a) if yes, then why didn't tell anyone? if no, then why doesn't she remember it? The effects of the Silence perhaps? 2) River apparently has Time Lord DNA being exposed to the time vortex durning conception. The Doctor has explained he can sense other Time Lords and their are no more.

I would add Ron Santo to that list.

I don't think any one is stopping you from starting one. I personally like how this thread has turned in the NBC Thursday Night comedies thread.
