So Fistful of Paintballs anyone? Thought Josh Holloway was a bit under used, but it was another awesome episode.

if it is Saturday it is time for Doctor Who! Yippie!

well they ain't selling out 40 city stadium tours. That is very successful, but you understand my point.

I think this argument boils down to the success of Wilco. When they first formed they played bars and small clubs were there was no choice but to stand and rock out. Now some 17 years later they are a fairly successful band playing large venues that are generally seated. Hell the last time they played Madison they played Overture Hall. This is an extremely nice venue and generally does not do Rock shows. In fact this month they are doing an Opera, Les Mis, and a bunch of other sit down stuff. The venues they play are not conducive to standing and rocking out.

Ran across this article from The Guardian, two Dad's debating weather or not Doctor Who is too scary for children. Interesting. It kinda for points out how the show is viewed in the UK versus the States. Is Doctor Who too scary for children

A couple of theories I have heard, I'll divide them into two sections, classic series (with handy links for those who are not up on classic series characters) and new series Classic 1. Susan - The Doctor's Granddaughter 2. Romana - Time Lady and Traveling companion of the 4th Doctor 3. The Rani - Time Lady and enemy of the Doctor 4. The Master New Series 1. Amy's kid 2. Amy 3. River and the Doctor's kid 4. The Doctor 5. Jenny - The Doctor's Daughter 6. Rose 7. Meta-Crisis 10th Doctor 8.Meta-Crisis 10th Doctor and Roses Kid 9. Donna (including the DoctorDonna) Whomever the kid is I am sur

Just finished "day of the moon" While not a good as the opener, damn fine. I did not see that ending coming. So who is the little girl?

I worked with a woman from Britain and I told her I watched Doctor Who, she laughed at me and told me I watch a kids show. Of course this this was the first season with Eccelson and Billie Piper, who apparently was like England's Britney Spears.

You know I was not too impressed. It is never a good sign for an album when the first single (and best song) is the first track on the album.

The Silence (the big bad in eps 1 season 6) was brought up back in season 5 eps 1. I think the producers of Doctor Who do a pretty good balance of a "slow burn" themes and story lines over several episodes and seasons (Bad Wolf, Torchwood, River Song to name a few) while having stand alone episodes that the casual viewer can pick up easily. Remember Doctor Who is a kids show, it ain't Lost.

I loved David Tennant. However Matt Smith's version is far better. I think it is partly the material Matt get's to work with. You will never see Matt Smith running with the Olympic Torch (see the awful Tennant eps Fear Hear). The strongest of David's performances are those that Moffat has a hand in.

probably an ok one to skip.

her music seems ok, nothing special. I guess she is entitled to her opinion.

who the hell is Tristen?

anyone else have a problem with the role of women in the show? they merely sat on the side line and were nothing to the show except for something to look at or rape. I hope the characters become more important to the story later on.

In anticipation of the new Series (season 6) this saturday here is the history of the last 47 years of Doctor Who, by the Fine Brothers. http://youtu.be/szHO-wEmvio

If Wisconsin has taught us anything you do not want that.

So what is your point? Is it that 46% of all Mississippians disapprove of interracial marriage? I don't think so. The poll numbers are skewed because I would imagine the pollster took a sample size of a group (the republican party) that is primarily white. In the south you will find that that more whites hold such views.

When the Bush tax cuts were enacted in 2001 this was the projection by the Heritage Foundation: Under President Bush's plan, an average family of four's inflation-adjusted disposable income would increase by $4,544 in fiscal year (FY) 2011, and the national debt would effectively be paid off by FY 2010. The net tax revenue reduction, after accounting for the larger tax base that would result from higher employment and faster economic growth under the Bush plan, is $1.1 trillion from FY 2002 to FY 2011, 33.4 percent less than conventional static estimates. The plan would save the entire Socia

and Yankee Hotel Foxtrot is about 9/11 I have really noticed people a way too concerned about who Wilco supports politically. I have no idea why. They are musicians, they make music, I see no reason to go beyond that.

I would take that bet.

well colour me embarrassed. I was thinking of Low, and not Low Anthem. I guess that is why the guys voice sounded so different then what I was expecting. Well now I don't know what to think.
-
was expecting something a bit more "sleepy." Though to tell the truth I haven't listen to Low in about 5 years, so I am not sure if their sound has changed much or not. I bet this would sound killer with a bit of production on it.

Don't know what time the opener started as I missed it. But Jeff started at about 8:35 and ended about 10:20

Hotel Arizona played as a bumper on the WGN broadcast of the spring training game between the cubs and the Rockies. Bob Brenly mentioned Wilco by name.
