Everyone that time jumped after the bomb when off was touched by Jacob at some point (but not Miles). So this may solve the mystery of why they did not die in the explosion and Juliet did. Why is Miles still alive?

Here is a quick time line to better understand my question, 2004 - Plane Crashes, 2005 Oceanic 6 leave the island, 2008 Jack et al get transported back to 1977 1977 Sayid shoots Ben. Juliet detonates the bomb 2004 alt time line happens So I guess that this means in 2008 Jack et al never get transported back to 1977 so Sayid can't shoot Ben. But then why was the island underwater? My question about smokey right now is how he fits in with the Others. If you remember, in "No Place Like Home" Ben went in a super secret room and did something to "summon" smokey (MIB) to take out the Freighter people. So obviously the Others (presumably Richard) had control over MIB at some point and in the recent past. Now they are not. What do you supposed happened there?

See I think, the Island sank after the bomb went off and this is why. In the season opener awe see the island underwater. In the underwater scene it shows the Four Toed Statue and a Dharma shark. What that says to me is the island sank in '77, therefore everything pre '77 still happened and everything post '77 did not (ie hatch, the bottom, the French team, Sam Toomey hearing the numbers, etc.) Do we know if the sinking of the island was instantaneous? I would think it was more gradual. That would account for Ben, Ethan, etc in being able to leave the island. Unless of course it wo

I had a thought about Ben and the flash sideways universe. Is he still evil? Last season when he was shot he was brought to the Temple. Richard said after this he would never be the same, this was implied that it is reason why Ben became the manipulating evil genius that he is in the regular universe. So this all happened before the bomb went off and the Island sank right? So the question remains is Ben still evil? I can see from his interaction with his other teachers that he is a big douche, but is he still evil?

I love beer as much as anyone, but bringing your own "beer to a place where beer is being provided for free..." is kinda of a dick thing to do. Do you bring your own food to a dinner party? The host is nice enough to spend his or her money on beer, be it swill or whatnot you should accept it. If you don't like it, don't drink it.

to me that seems highly unlikely. masuka is spot of lightness in a dark show. taking him out would severally damage the tone of the show. Plus Doakes was "confirmed" as the bay harbor butcher. It would be pretty weird if some how masuka was now a killer. The Miami Metro PD would have to look at the pysch screenings of that department.

Overall loved the episode. It was classic Russel T Davis, great idea for a story, but the execution had some major flaws. The Dalek thing was interesting but it didn't make sense if you think about it, for too long. On the Timelord Victorious thing, I am surprised it took the Doctor this long to finally snap. I mean his entire race has died and the Daleks just keep coming back. I'd prolly go off my rocker. It showed that he needs a companion to keep his ego and moral in check.
