  1. For a group that constantly says that there is no Russian influence on the Trump Administration and the GOP the following seem very peculiar 1) Refusal to sign Russian Sanctions for meddling in the 2016 a. Or just the straight up acknowledgement that Russia did meddle, even though the security community overwhelmingly says it happened 2) Refusal to mention Russia as culpable in the death of the Russian / British Double Agent a. I guess as I am writing this, Trump did say it was Russia, but I am not sure if he is just repeating the last thing he heard 3) The firing of Rex Tillerson, w
  2. Rex Tillerson out as Sec of State. No worries about our foreign polciy or anything, especially when POTUS is gonna meet with 'lil Rocketman. I see nothing bad going on here.

  4. I have no problem with an 18 year old being able to buy a rifle, handgun, etc. If you are allowed to vote in this country and serve in the military you should have all of the rights given to every citizen. None of this 18-20 grey area of semi citizenry (looking at you stupid drinking laws). What I have a problem with is anyone being able to buy a military style assault weapon.
  5. Oh completely agree. Like I said an evil woman, but Mick Jagger begged you to have some sympathy for the the Devil. I just imagine her sitting at her desk, watching the President and then screaming out loud, "JESUS FUCKING CHRIST!" Slumping back in her chair and quietly sobbing. So maybe it is not sympathy, maybe it laughing at her self induced plight. .
  6. I love this from the root. https://www.theroot.com/watch-sarah-suckabee-sanders-explain-what-the-preside-1823336474 Sanders is an evil woman, but I feel the slightest sympathy for her. Just having to wake up every day and try to explain the dumbass things our President says. Another thing that is lost in all of this garbage is the lead up to his claim he would have run into the school. He talked about seeing some deputies train and then basically said they were not up to doing the job. This is a man and a party who built much of his political brand on being on the side of the po
  7. Our president is a fucking moron. The call for more guns have never been and never will be about safety. It is about selling guns. Plus the sheer cost of arming or "fortifying" schools would be outrageous (though if it were to happen through it probably would be spun as an increase to school spending).
  8. Well his other idea is arming teachers so prolly not.
  9. Hey look the President is trying to stop Bump Stocks https://www.cnn.com/2018/02/20/politics/donald-trump-bump-stocks/index.html So we good with doing the absolute bare minimum? I wonder what the NRA crowd thinks. Is it something, yes, is it enough, no.
  10. Me as well, I found his thoughts on guns a mere regurgitation of NRA talking points. One of the most laughable things he ever said was something about bullet proof chalkboards that could be pulled down and used as a shield. It baffles my mind that would be considered a solution. I love the NRA types who claim that arming teachers is the solution. This of course does not do anything to solve or confront the issue of school shootings. But what is most laughable is that we struggle to actually fund schools to buy pens and pencils and now we want to buy the teachers $500 guns? Or is this
  11. A handful of kids get sick after eating laundry detergent and politicians rush to make laws to prevent this travesty. Hundreds of kids are murdered because of gun violence and they are all like ‍" thoughts and prayers" This is what NRA gets you.
  12. As long as we have that we are all good. I don't mean to be cynical or belittle anyone, but I am just so sick of this shit. Honestly these mass shootings have become like a TV show, and each news outlet trying to scoop the other and just sensationalizing things. But not enough for anyone to do anything. It is maddening. I used to get outraged now I am just depressed and resigned to the fact this will happen again and again until I die. Fuck
  13. Tell me again how real media tries to get things right?
  14. You could say that about 95% of the media that is out there. Journalism is dead.
  15. This country has normalized gun violence and mass shootings, by white people. Our nation will sit back and cry and do nothing. But if an immigrant accidentally shoots someone we gotta kick them all out and build a fucking wall. Oh for all you thoughts and prayers people out there. Shove your prayers up your ass. These deaths are the responsibility of the NRA and the spineless politicians.
  16. I for one I am extreme happy that the Cubs signed Darvish. They needed to get a big time arm to compete with the fire power that Brewers got (BTW, how awesome does the NL Central look this year? Looking forward to some great games.) I love Arrieta, but he did seem to be down a step from his Cy Young year (but still great). Darvish is on the same level, but I think the same level as 2017 Jake not 2015 Jake. It is my understanding as the Cubs were close to signing Darvish they offered Jake the exact same offer. He declined. He either thought he was worth a lot more money, or did not want
  17. This is a no trainer, the Dems should trade DACA for a wall. The wall will take years to build, sure there will be some BS ground breaking after the bill is signed, but a massive project like that would take a long ass time. By the time there is a new president, they will be able to stop it.
  18. Cubs are singing this Wilco classic today. https://youtu.be/vLChzM6v7rA https://www.mlbdailydish.com/2018/2/10/16999526/cubs-sign-yu-darvish
  19. Well the Eagles Ballroom is a shithole. Other bands in area TMBG @ Pabst $29.50 Jason Isbell @ Riverside $42.50 Bon Iver @ Bradley Center $42.50 And if memory serves I paid like $50 for Wilco and similar for Ryan Adams when they came through awhile back. I generally feel $50 to $60 is my max. I guess $72.50 seems steep for such a horrible venue.
  20. Never seeing him live (and I would love to) do you think it is worth nearly $100 bucks (72.50 plus fees)?
  21. I saw that he was come to The Eagles Ballroom in Milwaukee, but at $72.50 per ticket before fees? Jesus, not gonna be able to swing that one.
  22. That is too bad, because his solo stuff is twice as good as the White Stripes.
  23. I am no law talking dude, but I think Bannon signed a Non Disclosure Agreement. Which could complicate things. But Trump threatens to sue people like he drinks diet coke. So I am not sure what if anything this means.
  24. It was the politicians who seemed not to care, the tax plan was pretty unpopular by most Americans.
