  1. The problem with young kids is that they would be exhausted by the time Wilco comes on. If you have to bring them, and are staying locally, I would recommend having them with you during the day, then take them to the hotel with a local babysitter so you can be back for the main event. I know some people who live nearby with teenage daughters who could provide some contacts, PM me if anyone is interested in that option.
  2. I have it on very good authority that My Morning Jacket will not be at Solid Sound. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. I know! I kept getting updates from my parents who are watching the kids. Tonight: Dawes and My Morning Jacket. Also, I'm hoping to make the late nigh show-Biz Markie. There's also an earlier small acoustic set with Band of Horses today but that's lower on my priorities. Overall, it's been a great festival and hope to do it again next year. 5. Preservation Hall Jazz Band and My Morning Jacket. Last night I caught some of Sylvan Esso's late night performance too. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  8. I will look for Trillium. Do they distribute much beyond the Boston area? I'm in CT. Is there any place in Boston where it can be found reliably? All this beer talk will be over as soon as a line up is announced. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. My husband proclaims that opening a Heady Topper at the end of the night is a huge mistake. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. I caught a JGB show in Albany around that time. It must've been 89. The only time I saw them, but it was terrific. A friend from high school is the main guy in The Jerry Garcia Project which does essentially the same thing as DSO, but with Jerry shows. I saw him in the fall and he told me I was the person who introduced him to the Dead. All those years ago. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Mmm. Heady Topper. I can only have one of them. Since you are filling up your cooler with Vermont specialty beer, could you throw in some Lawson's Sip o'Sunshine? I'll bring Ghandi Bot and Utica Club. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. JW, try out Blitzen Trapper. Visionary songwriting, (ala Hunter), lots of guitars, Eric Earley has a really cool voice. The American Goldwing is what got me started. We were lucky to meet one of the band members one night, and my husband told him that their music makes him feel like good things in his past. Which was high praise, given it was a little struggle to get him past GD and the Allman Bros. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Still snowing at 7:30 AM near Hartford, CT. We seem to be spared the worst. Maybe 8", very windy. It's still coming down, but is supposed to wind down around noon. Clean up should not be too hard because the snow is so light. No school or work today but no worries about cabin fever; I have plenty to keep me busy.
  14. I had an Eric Clapton dream once. I was a backup singer (I cannot sing when I'm awake), and I couldn't remember any of the words to his songs. He kept turning around and glaring at me. I was also wearing a fleece and jeans when I was supposed to be wearing a cocktail dress.
  15. I'm sending in my mail order after work. It's kind of a joke, and part of me hopes we don't get tickets. I love to travel, but Soldiers Field on the 4th of July I could skip. I'm sure they'll send me them in the mail, then announce shows closer. Maybe I'll just send my husband and a friend, since I'm obviously not too excited. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. True. The first year I reserved a room in a bed and breakfast. The woman was terrified of the rock and roll contingent. Then we pull in, middle aged, in a station wagon for chrissakes. Then next year she doubled her rates and had a 3 night minimum.
  17. So my husband went ahead and got (refundable) plane tickets and (refundable) hotel reservations.
