  1. DC loves Handshake--nice sing-a-long!
  2. That's right KC--you missed Nels!! I'm going to have to hop in the car now, then.... Fat Cat's quite a drive. Maybe we can be there in spirit.
  3. Oh man, his "special ed" harmonica solo, too!
  4. Oh no! Get better soon....
  5. Wendy, I'm pretty sure that's Greg's Wish List. Not an actual tour schedule.
  6. Follow the link from wilcoworld--it seems fine.
  7. I've heard of this happening elsewhere--I think Cornbread Crow had it happen? Not sure, but maybe he'll chime in.
  8. I'd travel to Nashville to meet A-man. No joke.
  9. Great setlist! I can't wait to see/hear what's in store tonight.
  10. Oh no, sorry Edie! Hope the trip goes smoothly despite the Wilco flu.
  11. Ha! That must have been a fun moment. Obviously I only joined in Aug of 07. My first Wilco show was in '95, but I was oblivous to a fan board for a very long time. I'm glad I finally joined because I've met some very kind VCers at shows since then.
  12. Actually, as he did every night, Tweedy asked fans if they were frostbitten while waiting, and a couple of fans shouted, "Thanks for the coffee!" "Thanks for the hot cocoa!" JT responded by saying that it was John's idea, that he argued against it....blah, blah, blah, [insert self-deprecating banter here]. I understand you wish to characterize them as PR whores; I'm sorry facts keeps getting in the way of that.
  13. What aura is this, exactly? Yes, quite the PR roll. He mentions their grammy nomination on the first night of sold-out-in-record-time residency run in a theatre packed with some of the band's most adoring fans. Aside from the people in the room who already paid $40+ to be there, who else heard what you call his "PR roll"? Fans who seek out and download the shows? If that's his attempt to get all the attention he can garner, he sucks at it. He should've saved it for the XRT broadcast.
  14. If it's any consolation, it sounds like they've given it to themselves, as well.
  15. What a great setlist! Always in Love Too bad they all have other lives--I'd love it if they'd just keep touring and touring and touring and touring...
  16. $7.50 per ticket is insane. I'd love to see the Avett Brothers in Milwaukee in May, but as of right now I have a conflict. If I do get to go, I'll make sure to head to the venue for my tickets.
