i know... i kinda want them to lose at least 1 game going into the Series
-
yeah... i know he was at the west coast shows in September, just thought i'd heard he wouldn't be doing the other dates on this new Oct tour, but hopefully that was wrong!
-
fwiw, this was '91 (10 years to the day before Jay Bennett's last performance with Wilco at the very same place ) but i'm jealous of your list regardless
-
oh shit...i was looking for reviews of the Canadian or Missoula shows just to confirm, and while 3 of the ones i found didn't mention a thing about Bejar, this post seems to indicate he was at the first Calgary show on the 12th and may be out on this tour actually! http://yourblues.proboards54.com/index.cgi...ge=1#1192305921 i'll let you guys know after tomorrow night see my post above that i started before i saw yours i hope you're right!

fwiw, Dan has only done one tour with the New Pornographers, which was last year. prior to that he never played with them outside of Pac NW shows and a few festivals. in fact i've seen them 3x since '01 and yet to see Dan w/ them (they cancelled the First Ave show he was to play at last year :/)

love them they actually opened for Wilco some last year too!
-
nope, that was not the reason. the curfew at Northrop was 10:30, which they actually went over by a minute or two...
-
their last record was def their weakest, but still quite good. and i saw them live this year, they still have it for sure.

lolol yup. so not the same dude -

i dig City of Immigrants, but my faves would be TN Blues, Sparkle and Shine, and Down Here Below. those tracks hold up to his best stuff for me.
-
seeing her tomorrow!
-
or retrospective... it's not like he referenced it and figured people wouldn't notice. i personally think it's great when artists self reference old material in their lyrics
-
great great record, but that last song is sooooooooo annoying
-
yeah i did the same, and now i sorta regret it... oh well, William was great too, and i skipped him the week before Monolith here since i figured i'd just catch him out there
-
100% it's his best vocals in a decade at least. it's the first time that i can recall since The Bends where his voice doesn't bug me at least some point during the record
-
Glenn's hair is still super long, it's all pulled back (from sweat) in that photo also, there were at least 2 tapers, patience the OK thing, while goofy/funnyweird at the time initially, ended up being a pretty memorable part of the show, so don't regret it

i paid $0, but will buy it in some physical form
