  1. If everyone was the life of the party, then no one would be the life of the party. Think about it.
  2. I liked the songs John sang with Propagandhi. I did not like what I heard in my limited exposure to the Weakerthans.
  3. You must not have dubbed many records from vinyl to cassette.
  4. He's (she's?) right about Sgt Pepper's being overrated though.
  5. I hear this argument about The Jam all the time too. I'm pretty much a middle class, mainstream, averagely dumb American guy and I like the Kinks and the Jam. A lot.
  6. I just checked the Elias Sports Bureau, and the correct answer is Paul with a career 4.97 era. The rest of the guys threw like girls.
  7. Curtis Mayfield and the Impressions - Anthology (disc 2)
  8. If that falls through, I actually could probably get you a lock of John Riggins' hair.
  9. Well? Does it stay true to what made Season One so great, or are they gonna ER it up in an attempt to attract more viewers?
  10. Week 10, a mysterious transfer student comes to town. With a secret. A secret so shocking it could tear the team, and the town, apart.
  11. The shy QB kills a deer and drinks it's blood, yes, if that's what you're asking (week 7).
  12. I watched the first season. It was ok, but christ there was a lot of talking. If I wanted to listen to talking I'd leave the basement and visit the wife and kids.
  13. You guys are being too critical. There's nothing wrong with a little "today is the worst day in the history of the world and I think tomorrow may be even worse" ER-style melodrama now and then. I can't wait for Smash to get bird flu and Riggins to realize he's actually gay (those are both in week 4, prior to the terrorist attack in week 5). Sorry for the spoilers.
  14. I've never heard early Scorpions stuff. I do, however, love Blackout.
  15. James had to fly to Antartica to shoot penguins. Lars and Kirk are currently brainstorming on some lyrics.
  16. That part about it being a business is true. I once rode in an elevator with Rivera (my wife and I were staying in the Yankee's team hotel in Baltimore) as he was heading over to Camden Yards, and the dude was carrying a briefcase. I'm pretty sure it was full of crackers.
  17. You can never discuss early Metallica enough.
  18. I'd like to take this opportunity to note that if time travel was possible, I would go back to 1986 and make sure the bus never crashed. And while I was there I'd give Cliff a copy of Some Kind of Monster dubbed onto a VHS tape and let him know his life was saved to make the future a better place. I'd also mail the 15 year old me a list of the winners of all the major sporting events of the last 20+ years. And some porn.
