  1. After all of the hype, I have come to the conclusion that Spurrier is nothing but hype and no matter where he goes he won't win another national championship. Him and Nick Saban need to buy a house boat together and sail the world looking for jobs that they can be hyped up for and ultimately fail.
  2. I realize that other cultures have different views on things, and maybe I'm just being a bit too close minded about this, but this is just about assinine. Here is the LINK
  3. I have the DVD. But in my infinite laziness, I would still like to be able to just hit play on the remote of my cable box where it is recorded rather than have to get up off of my very lazy butt and put the DVD in.
  4. Ouch. Will Felix Jones be back next year? I am going to assume that McFadden is going to go pro.
  5. This is actually getting somewhat addicting.
  6. 4 Years, 46mill. From what I can tell it is the biggest contract ever for a reliever. Except, I think that Mariano's will be bigger if he agrees to what the rumor is of 3 years 45 mill.
  7. Now that LSU lost, Les Miles won't have to worry about playing for a national championship and it will just make it easier to go to Michigan.
  8. I'm watching an "I Love the 80's" marathon on VH1. I love this freakin show. there is so much crap that I had forgotten about. When they brought out the Freezy Freaky gloves, the ones that had images appear when they got cold, I almost peed myself. Oh, the memories.
  9. Man, I was really hoping that the Tigers would pony up and bring back Cordero after all of these years. Good pick-up for the Reds though, there bullpen could definitely use the help. Does anybody know how well he pitched in Cincinnati in his career?
  10. It's really hard to tell my kids not to watch it when I am sitting there laughing my ass off at it.
  11. Just classic. Whipping Post - Allman Brothers. I love Duane Allman's slide playing, but the vocals in this song are gut wrenching. Impossible Germany - Live in Detroit 10-17-07. Yeah, I'm biased because I was there but it is a great guitar solo. Valerie - The Zutons. Straight out of the sixites - via 2006. Golden - My Morning Jacket. The Okonokos version. Jim James' voice is like butter in that song. Landlord - Oakley Hall. You know for someone who claims to not like country music, a lot of my favorite music seems to be country tinged.
  12. I'm a stuffing man myself. Normal stuffing that is, cornbread stuffing is sacreligious. Oh, and the jellied cranberry sauce. Which is weird because any other time of the year I could take or leave the cranberry sauce, but at Thanksgiving it has to be there.
  13. I just kind of like the feel of books. Plus it's always handy to just be able to pull one off the shelf to look at something or let a friend borrow.
  14. That is the first time I have ever seen her. She is a sultry little minx, that one.
  15. Wait, you have personalized Wilco plates? That is bad ass.
  16. I don't know if I would go or not. But it isn't really a testament to Jeff Tweedy more as it is to all singers. Unfortunately, those ego filled sums-a-beeeches are kind of the focal point of the band, even if they don't write the songs. I cannot think of too many bands that have switched singers in mid career and went on to be decent. Off the top of my head, AC/DC, although I have never particularly been a fan, I'd say have done pretty well for themselves. Black Sabbath did ok with Dio but certainly were not the same without Ozzy. Alice in Chains isn't bad without Lane but they haven't made an
  17. Fearless Freaks was one of the first things I got when I subscribed to Netflix. Good Doc. It delves fairly well into the lives of the band members.
  18. What a coincidence, my last name IS Macedonia. OK, I'm lying but wouldn't it be cool. Maybe I'll change my name.
  19. I watched the first 20 minutes of Primer. It was on IFC I think, I was just flipping through the stations but I ended up having to leave. I planned on watching it at some point but like everything else I just haven't had the time. Firefly is another one of those things that I have been meaning to watch.
  20. Serentiy is one of my new favorite movies, I love the dialog in it. So that would be my choice. If I was in the mood to get really confused and be ticked for next couple of days because I couldn't figure out what is going on, than Donnie Darko would be my choice. Darko is the only movie I have ever seen where I get more confused the more times I watch it.
  21. While I agree that a second or possibly third taser would be excessive, the man was being unruly and and throwing things, amidst all of the confusion and the language issue I can see why security tased him. It is unfortunate and tragic that the man died. As for having a translator on staff, I would imagine that they would have an individual or 2 that speak some of the more common languages, i.e. French, Spanish etc., but you can't expect them to be able to have somebody who covers all of the worlds major languages. Besides in a confrontation like that there is no way that the security force in
  22. Actually, that image is 100 percent accurate. I vividly remember seeing it live and and almost peeing myself. the only thing I could figure was a screen play that went horribly wrong, or that they were hoping to get one block to get the RB free so he would have a plethora of blockers ahead of him. It was probably some messed up trick play that obviously didn't work.
  23. Thanks guys, I had always known a "Snakebite" to be a mixture of Yukon Jack and lime juice. It was my drink of choice whilst I was in early high school.....errrr, I mean way after high school when I was of legal drinking age. Yeah yeah, that's what I meant . Now that I am past the legal drinking age, I definitely plan on trying this over the Thanksgiving holiday.
