And I hope you took that with a massive dose of salt. Very much tongue firmly planted in cheek I don't take myself too seriously.

I love that line "I have people" For the record I'm pissed that you shut it down @ post 140. My vote didn't count. I am nothing more than a hanging chad. In fact several of us Dreamer in My Dreams voters are hanging chads. Goddamn conspiracy I say.

I'm gonna get flamed for this but the abrupt ending makes it awfully radio friendly don't you think? Just saying.

Dark tracks when one is happy are kinda hard to manifest. I think Jeff is really quite happy right now. I don't know where the Hell he found BBN inside him. While dark is good on may levels having battled through my own dark times in the last 2 years, I am more than happy to welcome and embrace a One Wing (whcih actually has some arkness to it) and respect the Hell out of a BBN but also not call it a "better song" than One Wing becuase it is dark. Dark has it's places-and there is lsome dark on this CD. Look for it. I find it far more subtle than say a YHF

absolute spot on. I am kinda spooked by how much I agree with the entire thing. This quote makes me nervous: "Next up 'One Wing' is an instant, understated alt-rock classic, melodic and beautifully crafted with otherworldly guitar flourishes from Nels Cline and a restrained, stuttering drum pattern from sticksman Glenn Kotche. " I am afraid he may be right. This song is short and very very good. Perfect legnth for airplay. Airplay equates to more popularity. I selfishly really don't want this to happen. I'm getting to old for that. I saw U2 for the first time in 1984. REM in '87 an

This statement alone is enough to make me seek this out. My kids know that Sundays are reserved for Jazz and the paper. "Oh it is Sunday dad listening to Jazz again I HATE JAZZ **stomp off** Dan Cray Trio was this past Sunday's delight.

I admit I can not see music that way-and quite frankly don't want to. I take it seriously. However, if you are a DMB fan, a Hanna Montana fan, or a Styx fan-whatever all good in my eyes. Just be passionate about it.
-
what he said only I have only seen DMB 27 times. And I still believe Carter Beauford is God. When LeRoy Moore died last year I knew I could not go back. I had already moved on but that was the last straw that ended my "fun" with DMB. Did have some good times and I certainly went there to analyze and left unhappy on moe than a few occasions.

Oh reeaallly? "Camels can maintain a speed of around 25 mph (40 km/h), but they can reach up to 40 mph (65 km/h) in short bursts when needed." http://wiki.answers.com/Q/How_fast_can_a_camel_run

That's what I want to know. Screw all the serious analysis of the cover-I will reserve that for the music. I just want to know how they got the camel up there and how they got it to stand so still

Look we Bay Area folk hate LA-is what it is. They (so Cal) don't hate us-it is a much more one sided hatred from my years in both Nor Cal and So Cal. That being said, no they aren't playing in SF proper but the Greek is fun and the Saratoga show will be beautiful. Im in KC now and have to travel out of state to see them! You just have to jump on 101. So stop whining go the the Saratogo show-hit the Shadowbrook inn with your significant other in Capitola (about 30 miles away but worth the drive) http://www.shadowbrook-capitola.com/ and make me insanely jealous. Did I mention I live in Kans

For the record the place is beautiful so to answer your question NOTHING. I saw Harry Belafonte and Smokey Robinson there as a wee lad with my parents. Check out some of the acts that are scheduled to play here: http://www.mountainwinery.com/EventCalendar.asp Ahh I miss the Bay Area.
