  1. LOL guess my info was a tad outdated (1988) and well as for seeing them in 2008 that's 20 years after I last saw them and well....I have moved on I guess but glad to hear Robert is over his phobia. $ has a way of doing that.
  2. Robert Smith won't fly on an airplane. I felt that should be shared. And yes I had noticed but tried to block it out. I did scary things in the 80's and admit to seeing the Cure 2x live.
  3. very cool and different to see Nels "jamming." He is always such a technician in Wilco.
  4. sometimes the obvious speaks volumes. Thanks for the laugh.
  5. Jeff-pool man (I mean really how could this not have been said already?) Glenn-stunt double Pat-stylist at high end salon John-used book store owner Mikael-sells apple computers in an apple store Nels-bartender/cab driver
  6. Totally agree. And while most of my favorite music was made with Jay I will take the sacrifice of Jay for the happiness, healthiness, and longeivity of this band. That's what it boils down to for me.
  7. I enjoyed your other ramblings-espcially the comments on the Gov. of Il. Made me laugh.
  8. I am still not sure how I feel about Wilco song. It took me like 2 minutes to realize it was a real song to begin with and I'm not still not recovered from the shock of the whole thing
  9. Probably Ashes of the American Flag and Poor Places. I picture the narrator in snowy cold conditions in both these songs. Despite the reference to air conditioned rooms in Poor Places I always imagined the narrartor when referencing having his fangs pulled as a calmed down "Jeff" after a fight with his wife and for whatever reason have always pictured him looking outside at the snow falling when he says I really want to see you tonight. Not sure why but you asked so there you have it.
  10. One Wing has the potential to become an epic Wilco song IMO
  11. Ahh good to know. So by that math I did get first 5 rows. Go me.
  12. that sucks-I am in J. Especially since you would have been next to a DMB fan who has seen them 27x. Would have made for nice conversation. Your username sort of gave you away
  13. Got row J kinda surprised I was on that site the second it went live. Hoping to get first 5 rows. Oh well 9th row works just fine. Yay Im going to see Jeff for the first time! Watched Sunken Treasure last night for inspiration to make the purchase and to make the 6 hour drive in what could be ugly weather.
  14. I'm guessing this is sarcasm but what do people think of this venue? I'm serioulsy contemplating the 6 hour drive. Never seen Jeff solo. Kinda a must do thing for me. Hummmm...well this is a tweedy solo show right? So perhaps the mellow (probably seated crowd) will make sense this time around? C'mon folks sell me on this. Tell me I should make the drive for this
  15. I love this show and the guy in the Wilco shirt is kicking the crap out of the "experts" on the show. I'm glad someone else saw this becuase I thought it was pretty cool too.
  16. thta's exactly what I was thinking TVs are replaceable. Colbert and Tweedy interacting for our viewing pleasure is priceless.
  17. I would like something new but doubt it. What say you?
