  1. Look at Broken Social Scene, and all the associated bands, there are about 20 people in the band and they all do side projects as well. Feist is probably their best known member. I also really like David Francey. He was born in Scotland, but has lived mostly in Canada. He is a really good musician in my personal opinion.
  2. more pictures added http://www.flickr.com/photos/30109343@N03/
  3. I had to stop about 30 seconds in, or else risk ruining one of favorite Wilco songs. My god that was terrible.
  4. The end of handshake drugs And if I ever was myself I wasn't that night every time, especially the morning after doing just about anything.
  5. The tailer made me very happy and I do not know why.
  6. Rock the shit out of it!
  7. It seems like they already have canceled these tickets, at least according to some phish message boards.
  8. Just put in my request for three of the red rocks shows. I really really want to go, so if you guys could do something about it that would be awesome. I only put in a request for one ticket for each show. Hopefully I will get at least one day.
  9. Miss the thread almost right below this one? http://forums.viachicago.org/index.php?showtopic=39079
  10. I am at University of Canterbury, in Christchurch, (that is the south island). I have been on parts of the path to Mordor, but mostly it was filmed in a parking lot in Auckland. It was warm yesterday, but today it is raining. The doughnut is in Springfield, so the Simpsons Movie gave them one. Thanks for all the travel tips. I will keep you up to date when new pictures are added.
  11. I am studying in New Zealand this semester. So far it has been great. I know people like to live vicariously through other peoples pictures, (I do at least). So in that vein, here are some pictures that I have up loaded. http://www.flickr.com/photos/30109343@N03/ enjoy. If you are from New Zealand, what or where should I go?
  12. Ray LaMontage says that after hearing "Treetop Flyer" by Stephen Stills, he quit his job and became a musician.
  13. This is sad news. I loved Paul Harvey.
  14. 1. I am trying to break your heart 2. Kamera 3. Impossible Germany 4. War on War 5. Hummingbird 6. Handshake drugs 7. Wishful Thinking 8. Company in my back 9. I
  15. According to the AV Club Micheal Cera is now on board. Which means that the movie, must now be on track to start getting a script written.
  16. Most of the fried things look like are from the Iowa State Fair, aka the world fried food capital. I would also eat just about all of that.
  17. Yep The day they came out. Outliers was better than Blink, and The Tipping point is the best one. He is a funny little man. If you like these I would suggest freakonomics by Stephen Dubner and Steven Levitt. It touches on some of the same things as The tipping point but much more connected with economics, rather than people. The Hitchhiker's Guide trilogy, (all 5) is the best book ever.
  18. The Tipping Point - Malcom Gladwell I have read it out 15 times since I was 13. after the quake - Haruki Murakami Hitchhikers Guide - Douglass Adams Them - Joyce Carol Oats Satanic Verses - Rushdie The Wealth of Nations - Adam Smith Also everything by Phillip Roth, Vonnegut, and Salinger.
  19. How do you already have a copy?
  20. This might deserve its own thread, but thought it should be discussed. http://news.bbc.co.uk/cbbcnews/hi/newsid_7...200/7829231.stm Kaka's 100 million pound transfer, and half a million a week wages. I am torn. From a Milan fans perspective I kind of want them to sell for that much money and invest in young players with the money. But I still want him on the team. From a soccer fan perspective I think this would be bad for the sport. No one should get payed that much for kicking a ball, much less for a relegation zone team. Anyone else have thoughts?
  21. When I went to France a couple of years ago (2006) customs was easier there than it was returning to America. I have never been to Bordeaux, but there soccer team is second in the table, and are making the first challenge to Lyon in 7 years with young midfielder Gourcuff ;leading the way I would recommend trying to squeeze a game in.
