  1. Eric Clapton- Unplugged. I listened to this while falling asleep for about 4 years.
  2. They are really good. Just saw them for the first time this summer. It was rockin' Also, just sayin' http://forums.viachicago.org/topic/41867-the-hold-steady/page__hl__hold+steady
  3. Downloading the new EP now. Anyone know that this was in the works?
  4. Boys and Girls in America - The Hold Steady. (On the Road)

I really need a ticket. Just about any price. Thanks.
  6. For me it really depends on which back pocket has a button over the pocket.
  7. http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20100705/ap_on_re_us/us_wandering_monks Who wants to start a religion so we can be tax exempt?
  8. What bad call? Suarez clearly used his hand to keep the ball out. How this could be a bad call is baffling.
  9. Absolute heart break. Missing that penalty with the last kick of the game! I scared my dog from screaming. I wont lie, I thought Brazil would win the whole thing. I think it will be Spain Germany in the other semi. Germany and the Dutch to the Final. No matter who makes it through from now on some great history and rivalries which always make for exciting viewing.
  10. I would also like to say that I was not alone in supporting Ghana, but it was only a handful of us. No way I would ever do that, after living with a Rangers fan for a 6 months. Also one of my best friends was in Manchester when Rangers played Zeit in the UEFA Cup. He walked out side in a Celtic green top. He was not thinking and the only thing that saved him was his American accent. He went home and changed.
  11. With the favorites England and the US out now who is everyones pick. The last eight are set with 3 of the four ties being Europe vs South America. Ghana is the sole African representative with a favorable draw to get to the Semis. I think the Semis will be Brazil v Ghana and Spain v Germany. Ensuring that Europe will have a chance to, for the first time, win a World Cup out side of Europe. On a side note I was watching the US Ghana game at packed bar and was rooting for Ghana. I do live in the US, but I do not think that is enough for me to blindly support a team, much less one, that in
  12. Well the first two results certainly blow things open.
  13. That was quite the shocker. Can I change my vote in the other thread? One of my roommates played with Espinoza of Honduras when they were in High school so it was cool to see him start the match, too bad he lost.
  14. Bought some Makers Mark the other day. Boy is that good stuff. Usually go with Jack or Bushmills. Sometimes have to slum it though for some Jim Beam. My brother in law absolutely loves Jim Beam. Was going to go down to the Strahan's distillery the other day for a tour, but no one would go with me. Oh, well.
  15. Abbey Road. The songs on there always seem so hopeful and full of life.
  16. Thanks everyone for your help. This is what I was most concerned about. As far as Avast goes, is it a full security suite? I downloaded the free version, but do not want to get rid of my avg, despite the problems, unless I am protected.
  17. Inter-Bayern. Honesty this is the lest exciting champions league final for me personally since 2002 when madrid won it. I may not even watch.
  18. Hey all, I just downloaded the newest version of avg anti virus 9. something or other. Ever since my computer has been really slow. It lags out even when I am only using Microsoft word, and no other programs. When I am on the Internet with wither opera or firefox it is even slower. I have never had any trouble in the past with this type of high cpu usage.avgcsrvx.exe and avgchsvx.exe seem to be the main culprits of the high cpu. The avg forums are very specific and the moderators there are not very helpful. I have a dell inspiron e1705 four years old windows xp 997mhz and .99gb RAM any advice
  19. Convincing other people to be patient at stop lights. It really is only like 10 seconds.
  20. I have 22% of my 72 gb devoted to Wilco et. al. That is side projects, solo albums, live shows, eps, and the like. I would say that my listening time is much more spread out, unless I just got a new live show. But really when ever I get something new I listen to it for about a week straight. I do listen to a lot of music everyday and usually Wilco manages to sneak in one way or another, but so do Phish, Dylan, The Beatles, and one or more members of Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young (Am I the only one who thinks that Steven Stills is the best of the four?)
  21. Do you guys think that Portsmouth should get to go into the Europa league despite their financial problems? I think they should because it would actually help them get their house in order in terms of money. I watched Barcelona's game against Deportivo yesterday. I really do not see how they can fail to win the league and Champions league again this year.
  22. I guess that proves it Messi is the best player in the world. Wowzers.
  23. One of my friends brothers was on this show, the Rocky mountain episode. I haven't seen it, but I guess it is pretty funny. Maybe just to us though because we know him.
