Well I would miss Pat...and this didn't get me. The only thing that got me today was someone saying their visa was messed up and they'd have to leave to go home...totally believed it all day. Pat is an amazing addition to the band and I hope he doesn't read this cause who would want to read this about themselves...

I'm looking to see if anyone (tapers) have been at the Andrew Bird shows of his current tour. I'm specifically looking for Des Moines March 09 but if there are any others I'll take those as well. I'd love Loney, Dear as well...but not sure if anyone would have taped them. I'm not in a rush for having them, just wondering if there are tapes out there anywhere.. THANKS!

Andrew Bird and Loney, Dear were amazing. Photos here..and the Hoyt Sherman is a WONDERFUL location for shows! Great seating, wonderful views and amazing sound. I went and met Emil. I was actually almost a full song late for seeing Andrew Bird. Hollinger did you take any photos?

Our managers were calling our snowstorms in December 'Death Storm 08' and then 'part....' whatever it was cause the newspeople were making a huge ass deal out of what was going on..and we'd only get flurries sometimes and real snow issues other time.s

I know you are looking at getting a tv....and this doesn't exactly answer your question but hopefully it will help you get an idea of what you may want to talk about with whoever helps you at the store you go to. Things to look at and know when searching for a tv: Be able to answer these questions before you go to the store: 1. How big is your current tv? 2. How far away do you normally sit from your tv? (because of your couch you will give a range such as 3-8 feet) 3. Is the room brightly lit or dark most of the time? 4. How big were you thinking of going? 5. Do you want to wall

Thanks everyone for your suggestions..I ended up buying 13 books between the stores I visited as well as 6 cd's including Autumn Defense and Andrew Bird which are REALLY hard to find where I live! And I have to say Renic's futon is comfy as all get out and she gives really great recommendations on places to eat and shop too!

I'm coming into town tomorrow thru Thursday. Just read through this and have added several of Louie's recommends for music stores. Anyone have recommends on bookstores? I love small used stores they are wonderful.
