Pesci's character from JFK? I'm pretending my hockey stick is a rifle, because death threats don't scare me. POW POW!

This is complete bullshit. If Walker had done the same to Cindy or Alex, he would be banned fo sho.

I don't know if he's overrated. He's certainly one of the best goalies in the NHL, but perhaps he'll have the overrated label until his name is on the Cup... From the Hockey News:

OK, I don't know if you haven't been paying attention to exchange rates in the past year, but if anything, the dollar has gone up, not down. Yes, even with our economy having gone through free-fall, the dollar has strengthened. Look at the past year graph of EUR v USD or GBP v USD. And... banks can't survive without people, so there's that... My favorite tv personality is Don Cherry, and he hates europeans, and he usually doesn't smile, unless he's kissing Dougy Gilmour. -

Can someone explain to me why it would be a bad thing to have one world currency? -

well, in the long term, the earth will eventually be swallowed by the sun, so how far out do you want me to go? I'm just saying that the free-fall is over. We'll probably have modest gains for a month or two, then it will flatten out with a slow gain over the next two years. -

you haven't been paying attention to the markets. We're past the bottom. It's going to be a slow recovery, but we're not sinking anymore. -

Any word on a suspension on Walker from the Canes? That punch on Ward was vicious - but what the hell was Ward doing? It seemed pretty obvious that Walker was coming over to deck him.

Good win by the Bs tonight. That was a passionate ass-whoopin. Wings seem to be in the driver's seat now. Ducks seem spent. Getzlaf has been invisible, but I think he tweaked his knee. I'd love to see a Wings/Hawks matchup. If the Hawks hope to advance, they better close it out tomorrow.

Jim Korn is coming to my wedding. Does that count for anything?

No, I didn't PLAY for the golden gophers. I went there and basically have been following them as long as I can remember. And I feel qualified to say that Kessel and Wheeler are soft, that's all.
-
As a Minnesota Golden Gopher alum, and former season ticket holder, I would say definitely yes to that question for both Blake Wheeler and Phil Kessel. I always thought they were both soft. One article in the Hockey News suggested that Bergeron needs more ice time, and perhaps rolling all 4 lines isn't for the Bruins. Or perhaps this is just the stumble that most great teams go through before greatness? As a Wings fan, it was a long way to the top (if you want to rock n roll) *cue bagpipes*. It was a long painful process throughout the early 90s until they captured their "first" Cup in

I feel for ya Walken. Bruins have a nigh-impossible task ahead of them, but it's not over yet.
