The only front row seats I've had were for a Jerry Garcia Band show in Minneapolis in 1990 or 91? It was awesome.

They Love Each Other, from the St. Paul MN 5/11/77 show, is sublime. That whole show is great.

Miller High Life anyone? Schlitz?

It wasn't until I was an adult that I realized that Smokey and The Bandit was about a beer run.

Found a 12er of Summit Saga IPA (I don't like it as much as their EPA, but I'll take it) at Caputo's, of all places (maybe some Chicago suburbanites would know what I'm talking about. I never heard of one until I moved out to Downers Grove) - for the completely reasonable price of $13.50. That's another gripe I have about the mainstream craft breweries I like - no 12ers available. Bell's, Half Acre, 2 Brothers. Step it up! I'm not very adventurous when it comes to new beer. I know what I like, so I keep getting what I like. I'm sure all the others are fine - when I travel I always try to f

not bad

I'd like Bell's more if their 6ers would cost less than $9.99. The cheapest good beer I can find is a 12er of Sierra Nevada for $14.99.

Been my favorite beer for 25 years now.

Never understood the popularity of Surly with Summit so readily available in the Minnesota area. Wish I could find Summit EPA in the Chicago area. The only place I can (rarely) find it is at Binny's.

Taking acid IS a time machine, no? I'm really enjoying Dick's Pick #12. What I'm really doing is just assembling my listening agenda when I road trip to northern MN this summer. It's hard to get enough time to listen to a whole show at once.

all via itunes.

Ended up going on a GD spending spree. Picked up DPs 12, 24, and 31. Plus the "download series" No 1. (4/30/77) and Live at Fillmore East 2/11/69, and Fillmore West 1969. Looking (hearing?) forward to it all.

Oops, I meant Dave's picks. Dick's are available on iTunes.

Thanks to all for the '74 suggestions. One question that I think I already know the answer to: Are Dick's picks even available? (Available meaning: not having to pay beau coup bucks through eBay/amazon?). My primary source would be downloads, since I don't have easy access to a record store. As for the best GD cover, my vote would go to Los Lobos' West LA Fadeaway: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RmhcTxhDCS4
