  1. Obama requests an extra $2 billion for NASA

The Obama administration asked for an extra $2 billion for NASA missions Thursday, aiming for an $18.7 billion budget next year aimed at finishing the International Space Station, exploring Earth and its neighbors and continue aeronautics research. The space agency will partner with Europe on Mars missions later in 2016, 2018 and 2020, contemplated sample return missions, says NASA's Ed Weiler.

  2. so exactly where does it say in the the proposed bill that the U.S. will now own all water? I call bullshit and Russian propaganda on this one. Give me a U.S. source that says "the top elite military-political and corporate classes currently ruling the United States". They're quoting from the Federal Water Pollution Control Act which is being changed to the Clean Water Restoration Act and claiming the U.S. is taking ownership of water, to quote the article "latest move by the US Government to take all of its Nations waters away from its citizens".

I think one should use google a bit more before blindly trusting something. The Clean Water Restoration Act is being proposed to more clearly define waterways in the U.S. to help reduce pollution in waterways that aren't necessarily used for Navigation.

    Clean Water Restoration Act

Maybe it is just me, but the Clean Water Act seems to be more like a U.S. attempt at making water pure and accessible for all of its citizens. Then again, I am reading the U.S. version of the story not the Russian version.

    --

the brief version from the link:

Passing the Clean Water Restoration Act in 2009 will restore longstanding safeguards for America's water resources and put us back on the path toward protecting all of our drinking water, lakes, rivers and streams.

The Clean Water Restoration Act should adopt a definition of "waters of the United States" based on longstanding EPA and Army Corps of Engineers regulations. The new law should delete the word "navigable" from the Clean Water Act to clarify that the purpose of the law was to protect the nation's waters from pollution, and no just maintain navigability. Congress should also make findings that the law includes so-called "isolated" waters, headwater streams, small rivers, ponds, lakes and wetlands.

Very good points, its definetly important to note that this is a russian source hopefully no one simply read the headline and freaked out .

And no you probably wont find a U.S soucre that says "the top elite military-political and corporate classes currently ruling the United States" even though its true.

Maybe in the sixities but not today and not on CNN . What you proposed makes sense as far as the motivees being protecting the water but taht is based on trust.

And the opposite view which I hold is based on distrust , this is definetly a debate that needs to happen.

Its a debate of motives some may say that seat belt laws are a good thing it saves lives I say it allows the police to pull people over and check there records and last month I got a 100 dollar ticket for not having a seatbelt on, what bullshit. Similar debate, no?

  3. Who dose this chick think she is? Bjork? ......... hey man this is way better than Bjorks last 3 albums combined, cha right your crazy.

Its not what you want it to be and its defiently a headphones record. I dont really know what songs I like but ive been able to sit through the whole thing (stoned and sober)

and get that feeling, you know the one its the thing we all strive for, all of us with a music fetish, were sick, especialy you. Oh and that voice she kills me truly.

And those beats its like these people know what they are doing. You might be unleashing the anti-christ by playing this thing but w.e lets get on with it.

Listen for the sonic achviemnets !!! hope that the next one might have good songs!!! so A plus for the mood pieces C plus for the songwriting!!!!

This is a B PLUS record check it out

  4. http://www.myspace.com/woodsfamilyband

The year - 2009 The month May, this is in fact a new time in history, CAN YOU FEEL IT? innn your guts

The band - Woods The record - Songs of Shame, How I am able to listen - my ears. So for those of you keeping track

there are like a ton of no fi bandittes out there these days and yea w.e Im still waiting around for the new Pavement so this stuff is just filler for like now.

But this band Woods with their record Songs of Shame are almost like the new pavement and I know this because I had a dream about the new pavement

the only majior diffrence is that neither of these Woods guys have that special thing called personality. But still the record reeks of weirdness and reminds me very much if infact yes Westing era Pavement think BOX ELDER though not reallly, yyou know? There are 12 great songs oin this record a stellar openner called oh shit I forgot.

My only sccuffle with this band is that they have one foot in the future and one foot in 2005 , they have this great Dinasour jr style of indie swing guitar licks and rolling drums mixed up with 2005 style freak folw twee bullshit sufjan falsetto vocals, I can still dig it but I need soime gutsss. So in the meantime before the band with gutss is born I will indugle in this record. ItS REALLY COOL. Im seeing Vivian Girls this friday woo whooo.

  5. I think I got stoned just reading that..

Im glad you all liked it more reviews to come. ..... no blog though im just gonna keep using this place I love you all.

Whats so laughable about comparing life is hard to I threw it all away?? be speciffic

  6. So in 2006 I found a strange record by this weird old guy Bob Dylan called Modern Times, I thought it was fantastic and the rhymes were slick.

Now the old guy is back again with another classic but this is more about the music not the rhymes, thers more blues and less "porck chops" or "pies".

beyond Here lies Nothing is an absolute stunner, and aproaches morality in a way a 20 yeard old couldnt understand and I understand and Im 20.

Now how good of a record is this really, well time will tell. Is this only for Bob Dylan fans? YESSS!! s what dose that mean? it means if you are intrested it goes way deep.

I was hoping for some more of the hard line morals of Modern Times and there are some here, but this is more of a summer record its not the depression and swne flu means shit so enjoy the sounds of Houstan and the mexican war... but pay close attention because the secrets are more .. I read the pitchfork review and they refrence nashville skyline and I thought holy shit thats what I thought too, then I thoough what dose the number 5.4 have to do with music? but yea dosent life is hard remind you of I threw it all away? no?

Musically his best record of the decade the completion of the triligy but... he better not die he better make one more we need a proper good bye.. and its all good aint it.

Aint Talkin could have been but this ends on an upper... alright now listen to it for fucks sakes its 2009 and Bob Dylan is writing songs.

Also try this excersice instantly name all the BoB dYlan records that TTL is better than and then think how much you like those records two.

    A-

  7. wow, Rangers win, Pens, Devils surprised me a bit.

I haven't seen this Tavares kid, is he the real deal ?

My dad used to coach against him in minor hockey when he was 15 playing practically two years up he had over 300 points now I forget how many games GTHL teams play but thats allot of points, he has the record for the most points in OHL history probablly the best hands of the decade but.. he cant skate lol

I mean can't skate all that well compared to Crosby or even Stampkos

  8. I'm not really sure what the point of this thread is, but I see a lot of youtube videos have been posted, so I'll just do that.

    NATSUMEN:

The point is on the first page .... its a video of author and reasearcher Adrian Salbuchi explaining the economic collapse of argentina and how its relevent to whats happening in the west very well reaseched and very understandable

  9. How do you know the woman posed no threat? How do you know it's a woman, even? How is it clear that the officer intentionally allowed the dog to bite the man in the white pullover? It appeared to me the officer was attempting to restrain the dog. These are all horribly shaky videos that appear to have been shot on someone's camera phone, and I'm supposed to take them as irrefutable evidence of police brutality? Again, where's the context? You see forty seconds of video - what happened before the video began and what happened after it ended? The videos, as they often are, appear to have been edited by someone who is not exactly impartial.

There appears to be some clear acts of police misconduct, but there's a lot there that seems to be grasping to me by someone with an ax to grind.

Take them however you want lol I didnt write the article and its not irefuatble evidence its just a "growing catalouge of evidence"

You really think The Guardian has an axe to grind, i duno they are pretty mainstream. You raise a very good point what happened before the videos begin.

Maybe Im just a fool for assuming based on past protests that there was some unjust brutality to scare the crowds and calm things down.

As far as the examples I provided if you think that "person" was a threat to those ROBOCOPS then well .... c'mon

maybe she was saying things to pump people up. maybe she had it coming. It appeared to me that the mn was taunting the police and he allowed the dog to grab onto his arm an be taken down, very dangerous stuff indeed.

  10. I never understood the whole issue over torture during the Bush adminastration , was it truly a shock to anyone , I djnno maybe thats a benefit of being canadian but the united states has averaged something like a war every ten years since world war two your goverment has allot of blood on its hands.

They dropped two A-bombs massacuring hundreads of thousands of people , they came out of that war the new supreme empire and they torture.

so thats like saying I killed you parents killed your siblings which wasnt so bad but then I tortured you grandfather for information at that pusshed it over the edge, I dunt know it seems like a political issue and nothing more in my eyes

  11. I watched the first four of these. The only one which is clearly misconduct by the police is the one with Ian Tomlinson. There is no context to the first three.

I dunno thats a hard thing to say ........... there were acouple examples that I can remember one where an officer allowed his dog to attack a man who was no physical threat.... a women who was violently dragged to the ground possing know threats and the genral operations. Its a tuff situation, what would have happened if there were no police that day... for a goood majority possing no threat the demonstrations would have been far more powerful and far more people would have showed up the second day but of course the violent few drunk or anarchist would have gone wild.

  12. As a baker, I take offense to that sir! Its pistols at twenty paces! One, two, thre...what's that? Bankers? Ah, screw the bankers man!

you know in world war 2 the citzen of italy hung Mussolini and dragged him through the streets, Mussolini was a far more powerful figure than some nitwit banker... whats wrong with people thesse days lets go after them........... yeah right lol

  13. I wish I knew anything as well as as this guy knows everything.

C'mon thats a load of crap, he laid out his opinions clearly and many people "out there" agree with these opinions.

Your exagerating and generalizing , its not absurd to have these types of opinions about the banking industry so stop acting like it is.

I think mjority of the people here are clearly clinging to oneside of the argument and if you cant tell its you who are being stubbern.

At the same time many of you have expressed reasnable and educated opinions on the current economic situation and there are many people "out there"

who agree that this thing can be turned around, thats fine. But keep it at that, stop acting like its absurd to feel like we the masses to quote Obamma have been HOODWINKED , BAMBOUSOULED. Its not insane to feel like as far as the economy goes it cant be fixed.

That is how I feeel, when the initial economic collapse occurred last september it did not come as a shock to me. In my eyes it was an intentinal mess

it was a sabatoge situation and now we are begging to see the grand solution , dont agree no biggie the truth is the truth w.e it is.

Infact its a funny little thing the truth you see it dosent care about liberals or conservatives viewpoints or agendas it simply is what it is.

I think this entire argument is a major miss communication, for example MattZ you and Futerage have been engaging in a economic debate an that is all fine and well and much neeeded at this point in time. But constantly claiming that Futerage has provided no evidence is lunacy and has more to do with the fact that many of you correct me if Im wrong feel like people who take N.W.O claims seriously are ideaolagy warriors, or nuts. Are many , yes, are all no.

for example I could post a video of Ron Paul being asked about the N.W.O and expressing his serious worries for American soverignty.

Now are all of you smarter in the ways of international politics than Ron Paul, obviously the answer is no , so what makes you all qualified

to disreguard these claims without any reasearch or even the slightest intrest in what they in"truth" mean?

This is my honest opinion that many people simple eather dont want to hear that crap, dont care, dont think about how things really work(dose anyone understand money?) or do care are intrested and simply and strongly disagree thats fine. But I have my opinions on why you disagree and I am entitled to them, briefly I assume many of you read Noam Choamsky and others of that Ilk .Personaly I dont have an ounce of respect for someone like Noam Choamsky so in my eyes youy are as crazy as I am in your eyes the only diffrence is you are on the side of cpnventional wisdom, well fuck convention wisdom I want the truth.

    JUST GIMME SOME TRUTH

  14. I'm not sure of the content but I, for one, am fucking outraged.

Exactly , these bankers are pure scum worldwide what goes through their heads ? how do they sleep at night?
