Sadly, I can relate. The fact that my parents and many of my relatives are Trumpers causes some occasional tension since I won't disown them (and God forbid, I give them the benefit of the doubt from time to time).

We had a great time marching for families in Long Beach this morning. That's me w/ my 2 awesome kids, my 1st generation Mexican-American wife, and my once-illegal mother-in-law who became a citizen under Reagan's amnesty program in the mid 80's. My mother-in-law came to the US in '69 with 3 little kids. My wife was the first of 2 born here. Of those 5 kids, she raised a Marine (who later became a master electrician), a labor & delivery nurse (RN), a bilingual elementary school teacher, a university professor (my wife), and a doctor (the baby of the family, of course). I had the exact same reaction. This, too. He's been the swing vote in nearly every 5-4 decision the court has faced over the past 2 decades. He knows what kind of justice will be appointed by Trump, too. Short of him announcing that he has terminal cancer or something, fuck him. It would take some unfathomable act of God for the appointment to be delayed until after the Nov election. Our only hope is that the Dems take over both the House and Senate and use that position to prevent Trump from tilting the court any farther to the right. But this seat is all but gone.

If you get a young one then it's not too bad. That was what I had. The older ones have more developed feathers, beak, etc. which makes it significantly more challenging.

Not part of my usual diet, but I worked with a guy from Laos who brought some in for us. I was one of the few who would try it. Tastes like chicken (seriously).
