I have an LA Times subscription that 9 times out of 10 goes straight into the recycle bin, unread. Not proud of that, but accessing news online throughout the day is so much easier.

Don't want to spoil it for anyone yet - but damn, the last 2 words of this episode just did a complete number on me.

A Thread for Musical Blasphemy you Truly Believe

I no longer look forward to new material from Paul Westerberg... more like I dread it. -
A Thread for Musical Blasphemy you Truly Believe
ih8music replied to hardwood floor's topic in Someone Else's Song
He used to do one of the best covers of Big Star's Thirteen I've ever heard. I must admit to a soft spot for him largely due to my love for "Good Will Hunting" and the contribution his music made to that great film. -
That's quite an environmentally sensitive thing for a band like U2 to do.

"You have a lovely home here, Emperor - but you really should consider taller ceilings." "Mmmm... cheese fries?"
-
^ not really. You can equate Olbermann with O'Reilly pretty well - but Beck brings a special brand of lunacy to his broadcasts. KO, even in his most pompous, theatrical moments, doesn't even come close.

Yeah, unless (going way out on a limb) she also found out about Trinity's true identity and is somehow associated with him/trying to protect him. Another theory I heard is that it could have been one of Trinity's kids, brainwashed/controlled by force into doing precisely what Dad wants, no matter what.
-
BTW, Lithgow is playing Trinity brilliantly with his paper-thin normal guy, all-american dad facade. Next week's episode looks intense.
-
That's convenient. tell that to the million or so people who loyally tune in to Fox & Friends each morning (which is about the same # of people who watch Olbermann & Maddow every night).
-
Last time I checked, Fox didn't have a liberal equivalent to Joe Scarborough & the rest of the "Morning Joe" crew...

Yeah, that was what I was also thinking at first... that there's actually a 4th victim in the pattern that Lundy never picked up on. But it could be that this trip was designed for his suicide all along. I guess it depends on when he decided to kill himself - before the trip (he was at the end of his ashes, after all), or after he had his revelation and showed Dexter where it all began?

Your favorite 80's American "college rock" band
ih8music replied to PopTodd's topic in Someone Else's Song
The Replacements were the soundtrack for my HS and college years, so yeah them by a mile. I didn't really get exposed to the Minutemen until much later in life, or else they might have been close. Husker Du would be #3, followed by very early REM. -
So Trinity didn't kill Lundy after all... and that reporter is awfully short, isn't she?

I have no tolerance for intolerant people. The extremists on each side think people who disagree with their world view are wrong/stupid/evil/ignorant/etc. I'd rather talk to a fucking tree than be lectured to by someone who thinks they know all the answers.

The only people more annoying than evangelical christians are evangelical atheists.

...was listening to my iTunes this morning and Westerberg's 49:00 came up. I really enjoyed being "forced" into listening to the entire album again. Of course, it'd be annoying if every artist released their music as a single track - but that's certainly one way to preserve that album feel.

Blackberry Storm II vs. iPhone 3GS
ih8music replied to Mr. Heartbreak's topic in Tongue-Tied Lightning
yeah, I was a little concerned about the iphone keypad before I got it, but it's been surprisingly easy for me. especially when rotated lengthwise, the keys are relatively large and I've had very few issues. -
Blackberry Storm II vs. iPhone 3GS

I recently got a 3GS and love it... but TBH I never compared it to the BB. -
Another victory for the forces of evil

to lighten the tone a bit around here... -
love that line, so true.

(Ventriloquist)Jeff Dunham + crazy success = wtf???
ih8music replied to Good Old Neon's topic in Tongue-Tied Lightning
Indeed, there are plenty of Obama-supporting liberals who are guilty of being "willfully ignorant" as GON describes the right wingers. Stupid people abound, no one party or ideology has a monopoly on them. -
Baja Grill FTW. Not totally "fast food" but fast enough, and ¡muy excelente!
