Whoah, it's like a message from the future, considering it's 3:33pm where I am. -

Well I can't find one for taking a bow either, but I'll say thank you! -

Interesting choice for least favorite Wilco tune. I have to say that title, for me, probably belongs to "Leave Me Like You Found Me." Don't you mean musical Dimetapp? -
Several of my friends on Facebook posted this link. It's horrible. As a guitarist -- or just as a human being -- I can only imagine the horror, disgust and disappointment he must feel. Has anyone else heard about this? http://vancouver.en.craigslist.ca/rds/msg/2449158332.html

Now also streaming at Spinner this week: http://music.aol.com/new-releases-full-cds/spinner#/25.

Joe Posnanski, one of my favorite writers -- and primarily a sportswriter for that matter -- wrote a nice piece on Clarence. http://joeposnanski.blogspot.com/2011/06/big-man.html

I dunno -- the last wall post on that group was on December 15, 2009. And this message appears at the top of the page: This group is scheduled to be archived: Over the next few months, Facebook will be archiving all groups created using the old groups format. When this group is archived, its wall posts, photos and discussion threads will move to the new groups format, but group members will need to be re-added. -

My wife just gave me the green/blue version of the Tweedy strap for my birthday. http://wilco.kungfustore.com/category/71-alliteration/product/708-tweedy-guitar-strap-wil85 Now if only I had a rosewood Gibson SG to put it on...and a Vox AC30... -
Haha, the imposter Paul who just happens to be just as [or more so?] talented than Paul 1.

What, the playback? It was very melodic and sweet. -

Some interesting sounds there were indeed. Whether any of them actually end up on the record is beyond our capacity at this moment. That "Nelsgasm," for all I know, could have just been him messing around with effects and not actually laying anything down... -
Also would like to add that I started spinning the second half of Go-Go Boots yesterday when I got home from work, and discovered that there's an extra song on the vinyl version of the album. Right in the middle. Another Shonna tune, "I Hear You Hummin'."

Just spun it last night on my turntable for the first time. It's GREAT.

Exactly. I even saw it as a message to himself about the future of Wilco and his changing approach to what "Wilco" is supposed to be...shedding the old skin, the old music and taking the band in a new direction. When the old Wilco "dies," a "ghost is born" and the group emerges with a new outlook on its future... That's where I read it!

I've always thought that "War on War" is about much more than a war or battle. I believe "I'll Fight" was originally titled "Conscript," which leads me to believe it's about a soldier who pays another to fight in his place, and the lyric is sung from the perspective of the individual who takes the solider's place in battle...

Maybe I will too. I'm just now getting on the Evil Urges train, even if it's just a few tracks. I loved Z, but was really hard-headed about their early, twangy, reverb-y material. I wasn't sure if I liked the new direction they were going in, but I'm starting to come around.

Almost every new piece of Wilco music that I've pre-ordered has arrived exactly on the day it's released, sometimes a day early.
