  1. Yes, the rhythm of the chords are similar.
  2. Just an observation as an active participant in this thread: when entering a Google search for "# + pictures" to find content for this thread, there seems to be a road sign for every number.
  3. Plus, there are plenty of folks who have the capacity for charitable giving -- which they do -- but they might make smaller annual gifts, while they've got a larger gift in their estate plans, a bequest, etc. Money to come later!
  4. As someone who's worked in the nonprofit biz exclusively, charitable giving is appreciated in any form, nor do we compare donors' giving based on their income, status, etc.
  5. It is possible. Problem is that I'm a bit of a foodie and love to be in the kitchen.
  6. I dig this one. More so than its predecessor. And I somehow missed him playing 2 hours away about a month ago. Enjoy!
  7. Speaking of restrooms -- here's something that DOESN'T make me smile when I get to work: walking into the men's room right after someone has baked a fresh loaf.
  8. So -- back on topic. Since this thread was started I've gone back to the live recordings from 2001-2003, the "beginnings" of Glenn's time with Wilco. There's a real rawness to those performances, like those guys were playing for their lives. It's clear that Jeff was really energized by his collaborations with Glenn and needed him to help propel Wilco in the direction he had been envisioning. And for the record -- I think Ken Coomer was badass too.
  9. My wife just switched to a work-from-home job, so we really only need one car. But we're upside-down on the one we can get rid of. Argh.
  10. I've seen it before somewhere. Pretty sure it's real.
  11. I quit smoking two months ago, and I resolve to stick to it. For life. Lose weight. Actually get on that treadmill sitting in my office. Actually stick to a budget.
  12. All audio from the Ashes DVD is on the download.
  13. The decaf drinkers in my office annoy me to no end...complete disregard for coffee etiquette.
  14. Neat. They tell the story of this photo shoot on the "Live 1967" album, which is a superior recording for those who haven't heard it. The song "Poem on the Underground Wall" was inspired by the photo session.
  15. I was that concert in Lincoln. Also my first Wilco-related show. Glenn opening was remarkable.
  16. I recommend that the folks looking for the best stuff from this era grab the show from Bogart's in Cincinnati (November '99), the Sessions at West 54th (10-4-99) and any or all of the three nights at the Fillmore in July 2000.
  17. Oh that's right. I recall that. I'm hoping to snag my own copy of that someday. For now I'll keep spinning my Gun/I Wanna Destroy You 7" to get my UT vinyl fix. Was hoping Santa was bringing me the Anodyne LP, but it didn't show up this year...
