I can only speak for myself, but I am not piling on Palin. She is what she is. My fear is that the people who take her seriously reach a critical mass. You can't rule it out. But she isn't simply going to rally support without getting something out of it. And would that cost really be worth it to the Republicans?

One problem that has been pointed out is that moderates on both sides of the aisle or throwing in the towel. It's merely going to make congress all the more divisive. To an extent, the best thing that could happen in America is a completely bipartisan Congress. Split right down the middle (and that includes separating Lieberman like a turkey's wishbone).

As far as foreign debt it is ...

I would say the best advice for everyone is go along, get along. It is crowd mentality so stand if you want. But if someone whines and makes an issue behind you, it's not just between you and the whiner, everyone else around you experiences that too. So you can make an issue of it, or sit down for now. There's likely going to be another song soon that others will probably join you if you stand up again. I think that goes, too, for deciding to wait until the conference starts to begin having a loud non-concert-oriented conversation that disturbs others. In either case of the stand or sit de

Bobbob, you are my hero. ... except how to keep tabs on Bat Boy

Whatever my side is, likely brings far more respect and consideration than the tea party. I know some people who support it personally and they are a venomous, uncooperative, disrespectful lot. Don't argue with them, don't bring facts to a fight. Don't ask them questions or to clarify, because that's a sign of disrespect.

The problem is, Obama is not being judged by a consistent presidential litmus test. I think he's in a no-win situation, so I think supporters tend to be knee-jerk. Compare the circumstances he came into and what he has accomplished in that time, and instead he's painted with attacks of raising the deficit (more than the previous president? cant), not creating jobs (had the bank situation not been dealt with, jobs would have been pointless unless they pay in eggs. The fear of the tea-baggers and Palin is, facts don't matter. It's a group acting out of fear and ignorance with no real agenda; o

I like her. She's kind of Sheryl Crow-ish crossed with a post-Partridge Family pre-L.A. Law Susan Dey kind of thing, but, you know, uh, black.

No one has posted about the pending population explosion, as all these people, suffering from cabin fever from the storms, start "snowmagedden-it on."

Pah-TAY-toh, Pah-TAH-toe. Let's call the whole thing off. A man who changes his name to a cross between the male symbol and an ampersand should never be confused as being flaky.

I have debated going to this the last two years. my kids are 18 and 13, and I'm thinking it's about time. The youngest was too immature to deal with it; now I wonder if they're willing to deal with the rough conditions.

The growing throng that already thinks she's the candidate eat this up because ... "by God, she's just like us." It's an endearing thing to those that would rather vote for someone they could have a beer with, rather than someone who could -- or would even try -- to represent anything but the top 1% of the nation's income. It's like the silly-assed Bush sign of "Miss me yet?" There is a secretary in this office that has it pasted over her desk. Proof enough to dread the next election.

I apologize for choice of words. Instead:

How about flaky?

I rewatched Prince's show when they were re-airing that SB on NFL Network last weekend. He rocked under adverse conditions, and with a (I didn't like it)* head scarf for all but the last song. They are going to be super cautious still about what act because of the "wardrobe malfunction." So it will be tame and likely non-R&B or non hip hop. * Parenthetic phrase provided by admin to replace homophobic comment

The democrats are being killed by lack of competent congressional leadership and an aversion to the jugular (that the NeoCons and now the tea party lot have (and their aversion to facts and honest). I dread the next election ("every day is election day" as Obama said in the SOTU) because "mud slinging" is going to become far too mild a metaphor.

What Beatles song would you most like to see Wilco cover??

Not that great of a song, but I could hear the band give "She's So Heavy" from Abbey Road a AGIB treatment. (I think the Abbey Road medley would be kinda Phishy) -
Don't they make the RVs park in BFE?

Reason enough to fear big business buying an election by leading bleating masses around by their collective nose.

Thanks for posting this.

I suspects he does it at every one of their concerts...

Sorry, my daughter bought The Fall on iTunes and they gave 5 cuts from a Living Room show, which included Jesus, etc.

I saw and played one of those at the local Guitar Center. It was too quiet, and not warm enough, for my tastes. But it looks cool!
