  1. Yes, but that is for balance and space. This was an ump escorting a player off the field by physically leading him to the dugout in the way a parent leads a child across a street. He wasn't violent or harsh, but it was condescending; therefore the eruption by Leyland.
  2. Exactly. There have numerous times when I've seen an act on a late night show and even though I didn't like the art, I couldn't help but notice that the performer absolutely believes in what he/she/they are doing. Can't fault or judge people for making it in their chosen field of interest. If you don't like it, move on to something you do like, and don't waste time and effort commenting on art of which you disapprove or have no interest. Hell, I do that all the time with certain threads here on VC.
  3. You think they'd still do that after all this time and if it was the distributor, is it different from how a U.S. distributor would handle it? And thanks again to SgtPepper64 for sending me a copy (it's currently in the mail). I've been wanting to listen to "The High Heat" for some time now.
  4. I will abstain from (the album) until June 30, 2009, but until then I'm gonna fool around with alot of other artists.
  5. D-Train says he doesn't have anxiety. He claims that's the Tigers official position so they could get him some more work after ST. To put it straight: The Tigers will find any excuse to keep him off the roster for as long as possible, hoping his talent kicks in - if he still has any. They've got a lot of $$$ left on him, but we should expect at some point this year they are just going to have to eat that contract.
  6. So, will you be "Jammin' with Jesus" or is it "Burn, Baby, Burn?"
  7. Yes, but it's true. The Philly Parking Authority is a bitch. I've seen them slap that "boot" on myself! Takes seconds and they do target expensive cars, so at least we can be content that the majority of the "oppressed" are real-life douchebags. When I go to Philly, I leave the car in a garage and walk.
  8. Usually I go to Chapel Hill it's for the purpose of buying music I've got zero chance of getting where I live, but about a year ago I went there for other business. I walked past Schoolkids Records and about had a stroke when I realized the place was empty. They were closed permenantly after being in Chapel Hill for 30 years. There's a few other smaller shops in the area, but the CH Schoolkids was the shit around here.
  9. Early 90's, I'd watch the original Letterman shows, "Evening at the Improv," plus the two/three seasons of "Law & Order," which were like mini-movies back then. The "Indifference" episode still spooks the shit out of me! If I remember right, the original "Fugitive" show was on A&E. Do they still have "City Confidential?" I've lived in two of the cities featured on that show. Damned famous murderers won't stay away from me.
  10. Karma, man. He was way overpaid then and now he's got to cough up a chunk of that to someone he messed-up big-time. If it hadn't been for Nathans, Beech could have been killed.
  11. Have you considered where they will end up when you are gone? Maybe you could do this: DJ Donates Collection
  12. That's what Wilco Worshipper said!
  13. In the 90's, the Bill Curtis Channel was all I watched! Ditched the cable (and virtually all of tv) five years ago. Now if I want to learn anything about history (or anything else), I read about it.
  14. I really don't want to, but...oh...alright. I'll be realistic...wait a sec! Maybe Dr. Teeth & The Electric Mayhem can open for Wilco this summer! How would we tell Glenn and Animal apart, though?
  15. Please. No. I'd prefer this set-up:
  16. Thank you, Gewee. I knew there had to a simple explanation.
  17. And you woulda, too, because it was a pitch by an Oriole.
  18. I'm with you on both counts. I was hoping the new cover would be colorful, as most of their covers are basically two-toned, but I'm not too thrilled about this one. Maybe if the guys were having a good time at the table and having a very bored camel around was normal for them, then maybe this would be funny. It makes too much sense that the party would clear out when a camel crashes it. The smell alone! I'm wondering that after spending the last three days swamped in the lawsuit thead if we aren't suffering from post-dramatic distress syndrome.
  19. Leave it to Manny to bring the estrogen-in-baseball problem to the forefront.
  20. My thanks to Sgtpepper64, who has emailed me and is going to mail me a burned copy. I guess I'll never hear the huskey-voice version.
