Same. The high point for me was the first song and it was pretty much downhill from there with a few others that I knew sprinkled throughout. Every time the show felt like it was gaining some momentum or flow it was stopped dead in its tracks, which is ok sometimes but I didn't enjoy it last night

Lets make them play Any Major Dude please
-
The Who in Manchester, NH

4 nights of Umphrey's over New Years in Atlanta. Awesome
-
-
I tend to agree with that although when they killed it live the KILLED IT (see the Copenhagen 2 and Knebworth 1 from '79 as well as Frankfurt from '80)
-
Yeah, doesn't the story go that the entire album was done in like 10 days and that he did Achilles over the course of one night or something like that?
-
Because Robert clearly still doesn't want to. Kennedy Center Honors is also never a playing gig for the honorees
-
^ there are some fantastic photos in there! Don't Let Me Slide Solo: [media] aaaaand Midnight in Harlem: [media]
-
I'm synching it with Zman's source right now and I'll re-up it when I'm done
-
^ I was there too. 17 months is too long between Derek shows for me. Heres my video of Derek's Midnight in Harlem solo: https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=10152286064325397

Thats what I'd recommend. Secondary market doesn't seem to be too good for these shows, so you should be able to get a bargain
-
The Sword was awesome. I highly recommend seeing them
-
I'm planning on catching (and taping) all of them.
-
Have fun at that. I have a friend who's been trying to convince me to go for a few days. Mostly cause he can't find any singles for a good price. I will be seeing the Sword with Gypsyhawk and Eagle Claw tonight at the Middle East

"cannonball!" songs that appear on album back to back....
opsopcopolis replied to Tweedling's topic in Someone Else's Song
^ Definitely that one. Help on the Way > Slipknot > Franklin's Tower The Song Remains the Same > Rain Song -
^ I saw that too (possibly in the same place haha)

Celebration Day has leaked

Music documentaries: recommend something!
opsopcopolis replied to Turnips's topic in Someone Else's Song
agreed. Probably my favorite Music Doc I've seen. Its very well done -
haha yeah. I mean it's probably because I've already seen the Who and am not that big a fan of Quadrophenia. I prefer Tommy. They'll be around again in Feb too so I'll probably see them then
-
Yeah, I know. I have a friend that wants me to go to the Who but no way I can justify paying that much for them when I could see the Sword for so much less
-
You should give it a listen anyway. It's really pretty damn good and Jason does a great job
-
Yeah, I'm loving it. Definitely gonna go see them in Cambridge in two weeks

Saw Umphrey's last thursday and last night

I've been thoroughly enjoying the new Sword album
