  1. 1) Run the Jewels - Run the Jewels 2 2) Parquet Courts - Sunbathing Animal 3) Jack White - Lazaretto 4) Bleachers - Strange Desire 5) St Vincent - St Vincent 6) Schoolboy Q - Oxymoroon 7) Against Me - Transgender Dysphoria Blues I'm going to leave the last three spots open for the next month or so. Also, I couldn't craft a good enough Iggy Azelia joke to put her on the list. So let's just laugh at her anywho.
  2. Its' weird when my worlds collide like this. I love how sad that random commenter was about Spencer's Neil Young comments. Also, it's awesome to know that there are others in the world flipping between Wilco and RTJ.
  3. I'm in favor of this as long as you're not obnoxious about it (i.e. keep the phone at bellybutton level vs forehead level). I've searched twitter a few times trying to get real time setlists so that I can either re-create or imagine. The next time will be last night of the Winterlude. I hope someone's real timing that one.
  4. I feel like the light show is improving and doesn't get a lot of shout outs and accolades. Lights guys, if by chance you're reading this, well done.
  5. Is there a consensus "best book about the Dead", or even "best book written by a member"?
  6. Hey all, I have two in Center Balcony Row B that i'd like to trade for GA's.
  7. I'm looking to trade 2 Center Balcony Row B, for 2 on the floor for tomorrow night (10/29). I don't want to have to play the "should we stand or should we sit" game. I have hard tickets in hand and can meet at the Cap anytime after 3ish.
  8. If you're going to the Wednesday show and would rather have seats PM me and i'll trade you my seats for your GAs. I'm in center balcony Row B, 105 and 106.
  9. It's kind of funny that you guys are saying this about Rolling Stone. I listened to this album this morning and at first i didnt really like it, then I disliked it, then I hated it and shut if off. And as I was shutting it off I thought to myself "Rolling Stone is giving this no less than a 4, more likely it'll get a 4.5".
  10. How many more shows would Wilco need to add before they could call it a residency? If they stick with their policy of very few repeats (combined with their utter refusal to play anything from WTA) and a standard 26 song setlist you've got 78 out of 94 songs (and they don't play Sunloathe, Capital City, Say You Miss Me, and several others all that often). We're possibly looking at them playing every song that they play on a tour over the course of three nights. If you can do all three, do it.
  11. So, back on topic. How likely is the 2nd show in Port Chester the last Wilco show of 2014? And at what point do they resurface in 2015? Spring because of an itch to play? Early summer when the new album's done? World Tour kickoff at Solid Sound?
  12. I don't think i've seen this much action in a thread in a single day since my all time favorite: "should we sit or stand while watching Wilco?"
  13. That should say Row B. Not row smiley winky guy.
  14. I thought the floor at the Cap was the more expensive ticket so I didnt even look at it when I ordered. If anyone wants to trade 2 GA's for two in the center balcony (Row , PM me. I'll eat the ten dollar price difference as I'd rather be on the floor than up top (despite how good the view looks when I clicked on the seating chart).
  15. If I lived in southern Ohio I'd be going to five shows on this tour. Unless they're all 96 dollars each like that Port Chester show.
  16. The Interestings - Meg Wurlitzer This was actually just recommended to me, yesterday or the day before.
  17. I've been doing T25, and though its only 25 minutes it feels like 2 hours (both in terms of length spent exercising and exhaustion afterward). Buckets of sweat and hundreds of sore muscles = satisfaction (i guess)
  18. My guess is a couple of shows within an hour of NYC and a couple shows within an hour of Chicago, both in December. Probably early-ish December.
  19. I like Wilco like I love cheeseburgers. If you serve me just the bun, I'm not nearly as happy.
  20. I wish I had read this first before jumping up and down in my cubicle.
  21. I'm willing to drive 6 hours each way for a weekday show, a bit longer for a weekend. Make it happen Wilco.
  22. I've got it like this: AM - I Thought I Held You Being There - the Lonely 1 Summer Teeth - We're just Friends Yankee - Heavy Metal Drummer (I wish this was a first set closer, it'd be perfect for a quick piss break) AGIB - Less than you Think SBS - Leave me Like you Found Me WTA - Deeper Down (my nom for worst song in the catalogue) Whole Love - One Sunday Boring (mostly because it eats up the space of two other better songs in concert) I'll agree with the uneasy feelings about
  23. Thats another item that is somewhat concerning, in that, if everyone's out touring with various other entitties when do they have time to get together to record new Wilco music? Lock'n might actually be a barometer of where they're at with new Wilco tunes. If they crank out 4 or 5 new songs that'd indicate decent progress on a new album. Its cool that they're off doing their own things but its a similar situation to my not wanting a plate of ground beef one week, some lettuce and tomato a few weeks later, and a slice of cheese and a bun a month after that. It works and tastes so much bette
  24. The complaining comes from when 2014 is done and there's a "2" next to it, that number will stand out next to all the others. Too bad every year can't be 2012.
  25. Personally I'm hoping for a couple of shows before and a couple of shows after Lock'n. Unfortunately they'll probably need to be announced soon if they're happening. Hopefully they're just waiting for the last thousand or so tickets for Lockn to sell out and then they'll announce two shows at Tangelwood, two shows in Atlanta or Charlotte and then two in Chicago. Boom. Mini-tour, crying averted.
